Last year wasn't all bad for Casey. He beat Rossi at Mugello & then Rossi was out classed on the Australians home track of Phillip island. Ouch!!

Stoner has won the first race since the 800s came out on track in Qatar 2007,2008 and 2009 and he also got pole position when he was in his rookie season on the LCR Honda. I think he will win again but Rossi could give him a run for his money I think there could be another load of Yamahas of Rossi, Jorge, Ben and Colin. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.

@ DEZ -

Can you define outclassed?

I mean, if Rossi had won that race in the same manner - I for one wouldn't say he had 'outclassed' Stoner. Rather that it was two motorcycle greats battling one-2-one, with nothing between them.

Apart from anything else - Rossi had a motivating factor to not push it to crashing point - ie the championship.

here's my 2 pence worth!!! stoner will win this weekend and no doubt he'll start the season on fire. but its going to be midway thru when rossi and lorenzo start applying the pressure that we'll see who's really got what it takes to become 2010 world champ..

Casey is probably the man to beat here, but i'm sure Rossi will be closer this year than he was in 2009. Even more, I wouldn't dare to say who's gonna win this sunday. They seem to have very similar pace here.

Doesn't seem Jlo can match the pace of those two (last year he couldn't and he wasn't injured then), but i wouldn't be surprised if he reach the podium.

Dani... who knows?

Fact:the last great battle I watched in GP was Rossi v Stoner, Phillip Island 2009. It could have gone either way. Rossi in no way had to to defend for the title...LORENZO WAS OUT in the first corner. Open season to avenge Mugello...He even tried that corkscrew move at the Southern loop with about 10 left, but was smart enough to back off.Vale set the fastest lap of the race, but still could not pass.
Hope Sunday pans out the same, even if it ends up being a fight between Randy and Loris for the top step.A lot said about Loris'300.Go Spartan!!!Hope its your 100th podium too!!!!!
