Looks like Honda cranked up the HP to try and offset the setup problems. No way they can run them that hard all year. Dovi was pulling away from drafts while leading them. It was huge to see Hayden stick it in there and go for it on the last lap. Nothing to be ashamed of in that ride. Must be getting comfortable again. He more than made up for his good fortune in '06 with cursed '07, '08 and '09 seasons.

A clear display of the different in race-craft between Rossi and Stoner. Stoner pushed it in the front at a time when he didn't really need to. Rossi conserved/waited until Dovizioso showed him a wheel and then pulled his gap.

What a moaner AND LIAR! :P

I remember the 2006 last race. Rossi was caught up behind Stoner the known crasher (yes Stoner had spectacular crashes that year). Rossi knew if he didn't get ahead of Stoner that Stoner would crash and potentially take both out. But in a rare mistake in a disasterous season filled with unresolved tire chatter, Rossi low sided. And IN FACT Stoner crashed too in that race.

Rossi raced well in this race. I'm concerned about the Yams lack of power due to the rules making Yam take out direct injection (which gives an engine 10-15% more power and better fuel efficiency).

Hondas might be a threat this year even with the engine rule because Honda's make strong engs.

I think that those of us that have been watching since VR started riding MotoGP know that he's always very quick but also that he rides at 98-99% because he knows that riding at 100% can end your race early. When he does push at 100%, it's always only for brief spurts at certain sections of the track. You hardly ever see him trying to push full laps, lap after lap. But Casey and Lorenzo will try to push at qualifying pace, lap after lap. And a lot of times, there's not enough margin for error and they eat dirt. If you look at other riders that hardly crash, such as CE, they're train of thought is similar to VR. Better to pick up a few points rather than lose 25 to the winner.

Wow i can hardly believe it. Did i actually read that artical right? Was it me or has Stoner just admitted that the crash was his fault.
Maybe they rushed him to comment to quickly and he was struggling to find an excuse that he hadn't already used and left himself no option but to admit that he just wasn't good enough :)
