So Dorna had everything covered right there in Japan.
So moving personnel was the issue.
Cosidering the money, the rider's and crews get paid, they should all be on one or two Jumbo's headed for the event within 12 hours of the GP cargo jets leaving.End of story.

Confusing. I am not a MotoGP expert, but a huge fan. I was always under the impression that the teams send their own stuff and dorna sends stuff for the motogp pertinent to race organization, but this article implies that Dorna handles all the teams equipment as well? Is this correct? and why hasn't bernie eccelstone offered this to the F1 teams to line his coffers even more? :?

Such a good "green" sport :) lol.
I'm sure that lack of Friday morning practise makes a big difference after flying all that gear around the planet week after week!
Not that I'm complaining cos I want to watch like everyone else.

Yeah,Olek, doesn't make sense. By their statement, the implication is simple...Every technical issue was already planted in Japanese soil for the event. One can only assume the personnel and the racer's had commitment to visit 'Uncle Jimmy' on Friday and buy the dog a collar at Harrod's on Saturday and blah.
In my cemetry, the whole bunch should have been shipped out the same day as the cargo.
Anyway,it's all history...Roll on Jerez.

FC Corse is the team that Gary McCoy is allegedly signed to ride for at Jerez.

I read somewhere that Dorna had two jumbo jets chartered to take everyone out of Italy (or was it Spain?) but the problem was everyone (riders, crews, support personnel, etc) were scattered around the globe and couldn't get to Italy.

Bernie ecclestone has always used charters ever since the 1970 , the largest amount ever used was when he had FOCA TV . Dorna also use charters it is easier with customs .
Cargo has never been the problem , People are the problem
reason staff members are stuck in Shanghai is that they are all holding tickets with the airlines it should be the airlines that lay on the chartes to get the staff back but the airlines will make more money by using existing flights There was an example this week that in the space of 4 hours a £600 ticket became £3000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who is taking the P--s

You're wrong to blame the airlines. They don't hav ethe planes or staff to run extra flights. Most of their planes were in the wrong places after the sudden stoppage, which is why it took a few day sto get back to their normal schedules.

Make no mistake the only reason they are not in Japan is because Casey, Valentino, Jorge, Danny, Nicky and Ben didn't have a clear view out of the window on the plane and there was no way they were going to fly to Japan without a view. No way.
