MotoGP » Stoner 'has already decided to go', fears Ducati

As speculation over the MotoGP 2011 rider merry-go-round increasingly gathers pace, a well-informed Ducati Marlboro source concedes that 2007 world champion Casey Stoner 'has already decided' to switch to Repsol Honda next year

Nakamoto is a very strange dude. What does it mean "Because Honda is not content with podiums"? It's your job to do a fast bike, not riders'! You think that Stoner will make everything easier? You probable make a mistake. Valentino didn't win a championship in 2007 on a cr@p bike, Casey won't do it FOR SURE.

And I'm not so surprised with Stoner though. With such dissapointing start of the season his chances of going to Honda are rising. He put himself in this endless circle and now is so nervous that thinks that the only solution is leaving Ducati. Just my thoughts

for Honda to maintain Repsol as a sponsor they should have a spanish rider in the lineup. Dani will stay with Repsol and if Stoner joins repsol team he will suffer what Dani & Dovi has been suffering. Honda is no where in the 800cc era

The only place right now worse for a front-end pusher like Stoner than Ducati is Honda. From chatter to instability, Honda has more front end issues than any of the other manufacturers right now. So much so, the Gresini team has gone BACK to Showa forks to cure the issue. Stoner going back to Honda can only be problematic for him. No doubt, I think he'll be right where Dani and Dovi are right now. But as we've seen, the Honda will run hot laps all the way to the end then fade. Or start slow and finish 3rd. I don't think Stoner is the cure to this. But yeah, I think Stoner will go, walk in the footsteps of his idol, Doohan.

kirk66 - '' tell me another rookie that can qualify and ride like Ben?''

What? Why does that mean he deservesd a factory ride?

Spies has had a rookie qualify in front of him in 2 out of the 3 races so far. The only difference is that the spies has only finished 1 out of 3 races! Why does that make him a better rider than the others who have finished the races? Get real! If you think that his perfomrance so far deserves a factory ride you have serious issues my friend!

Typical strange fanboys STILL thinking he is a god, even though he's massively under acheiving at the moment.

My predictions for 2011 are:

Ducati: Stoner, Hayden
Fiat Yamaha: Rossi, Lorenzo
Repsol honda: Pedrodsa, Dovi

Yes thats right, exactly the same as this year.

Oh, i almost forgot..........

Spies = AMA

We can only hope this comes true........him on the Honda will be a great combination....Ducati without him will be a disaster....that bike has always been one rider away from a disaster....

@ craig28101664

Why exactly do you think spies deserves a factory ride?

The guy only just won a wsb championship in a 2 horse race and this is grounds for a factory yamaha ride along side rossi in your opinion!?!?!?!

Although thats somewhat irrelvant anyway, so what has he done this season so far to warrent a fiat yamaha ride for 2011?
