And LOL at someone saying he reeled stoner/rdp/melandri in a few times. No, he didnt reel them in, they were beating each other up as they were up there and 'racing', not just riding.

I hope people will finally realise that spies has been bigged up too much and is not living up to expectations. Not taking anything away from spies as thats not his fault, its his fans fault. Nothing wrong with being supportive of your rider, but theres a difference between being optimistic, and realistic.

The rookie of the day was espargaro without a doubt. He was forced off the track early on, and was dead last, then had a great ride to get to where he did!

Yep sic no espargaro.

And lol @ all the pies fan boys saying well done for keeping it up, he had no choice he said he was giving 100% and could hardly keep up with the stoner/mel/dep battle.

What happend to all this 5th alien/podium talk then.

The battle for 4th was great, and even the short dice for 2nd was also good. However I think the fact that the legend was not there was strange for want of a better word. Not even Rossi could have beat #26 today
IMO.

Next race should be a ripper with everyone on an equal footing because of the new track layout.

Spies could be in his element and sure to get his best result of the year there.

"He should be the best rookie, he's on the best bike and been riding a bike of similar power in comparison to the other 250 boys, so he has a massive advantage."

LOL@Gray!!!!!

Wait, wait, wait!!!!

So he should have advantage over the 250 guys? Since when?!

We've been hearing since the switch to four strokes that 250 riders are better prepared for MotoGP and how they have the tracks down, the culture of the paddock, and are generally better prepared because of the 250 bikes and how superbike riders suck donkey balls in GPs.

And now all of a sudden it's the opposite - Spies is better prepared. 1 year of racing internationally and he should be better than the other rookies. Oh, I see how you just tossed the last 2 250cc champions under the bus along with Bautista calling them a "bad bunch". Where was all of the talk last year? Now they are terrible?

"Why dont spies fanboys just man up and admit that he's not doing half as well as people thought he might!"

WRONG!

He's doing pretty close of what I predicted.

He'll win rookie of the year easily. He's only a few points behind Simoncelli and Spies didn't finish 2 out of 4 races.

I said it would be a good year if he finished in the top 10 with a podium. It would be an extremely good year if he could finish between 5th-7th. That looks like it's going to be tough if the satellite Hondas can race like they did today.

Anyone that was predicting multiple race wins don't know much about MotoGP and was just shooting off at the mouth to annoy people.

@gray you got it spot on it's the fanboys that make Spies a target, fifth alien and all that bull, he is talanted but not as talanted as his fanboys would have you believe, if he had beaten Casey you would have never heard the end of it.
Now we all know the Ducati can't be pushed too hard after NHs off so it would seem CS is not to blame just pushes too hard Casey rode a perfect race passed MM earlier on and couldn'd pull away safely so he hung in there to the last lap and pulled off two stylish moves.
God I hate one eyed fanboys, we all have our favourites but when someone anyone props up from nowhere and creams a lot of so called stars I think he deserves a mention Espargaro. :) :) :) :)

Hahaha, Rawdawg, it was those same unregistered (im)posters who said Spies was going to lap the field and win everything in sight. Back in college it was called knocking down a 'straw man.'

You build him up to be something he ain't, then when the truth comes out you bark "see that - he's a fake."

TBH I am amused at the antics out here on Crash. Spies day will come, and I am looking forward saliciously to read what B.S. they will write next!
