Colin Edwards, Ben Spies, Cal Crutchlow, James Toseland... Who do you think should get a shot at joining Jorge Lorenzo?

So....rookies cant get the seat....cos of the rules.
So Spies wont get it.
In that case why tip Crutchlow? He would be a rookie too! Doh!
The only people who arent rookies are those with more than 9 races under their belt...
So thats the likes of JT....Bayliss...Hopper....McCoy.
Surely the short list for a factory ride cant be that long!!!!!
Or will Dorna give special dispensation?

Edwards to take his Tech 3 bike to the FIAT garage and sawp fairings... Rossi's bike to be sent over to Spies in Tech 3 garage to bolt some tech 3 colours on! Crutchlow to ride alongside Spies on one of spies' tech 3 bikes. Yamaha is like a family, all rider replacements will be internal.

Agreed Renato. My main reason for this is that Cal wants into GP or Moto 2 and if Yamaha give him a taster then he might stick with them.
Yes he has had an up and down season but he is well regarded by Yamaha and some of those "in the know".
I'd like to see how he does that's for sure.
It would also be good for Silverstone to have a Brit there and might sell a few more tickets.
We shall see but it would be a shame not to have Vale's bike on the grid as it is pretty sp**** at the moment.

Colin Edwards should step in the vacant seat.

He is a consistent and experienced rider on that machinery who is usually inside the top 10 and hasn't fallen in recent memory. I think it is important to push the pace, but more important not to break Valentino's bike.

well, we've seen colin on factory spec yamaha before, ben is a rookie and new rules prevent him from jumping on it, i personally don't rate toseland as a GP rider, so i reckon cruchlow should have a pop at it. i don't reckon he'll get in to the top 5 but i think he'll be fairly quick after a few days on it and maybe yamaha will consider him for the future in GP's. we need a brit in gp racing!!

lol i wrote s p a r s e and they censored the a r s e , quality :)

Nobody said Crutchlow should get Vale's bike, they said he should get Spies. I think Dorna should give special dispensation to let Spies on the Factory Yam, not like it's going to hurt anyone is it?
