Colin Edwards, Ben Spies, Cal Crutchlow, James Toseland... Who do you think should get a shot at joining Jorge Lorenzo?

Funnstuff- put down the glue and step away from the bong. Tech 3 is giving Spies everything he needs to win. As a Spies fan, even I know that the sub seat shouldn't be filled by the Tech squad.

"JT knows the ride and can be an acceptable sub."

Are you kidding me right now! He's not acceptable on any level. If MotoGP wants a Brit in for Siverstone fine but it should be on the Tech 3 bike not the factory team.

It would be impossible to find a rider with GP experience to replace Rossi. You have to remember most are contracted to other teams i.e. Hopper, Biaggi, Bayliss, or way past there prime i.e. McCoy, and Gibbs.
I think Dorna will budge on the rookie rule and lets Spies ride the M1. If they don't I have a feeling Yamaha will just move up Edwards and bring in a test rider for Tech3. Dorna knows a test rider would be uncompetative, and I think Spies on a factory M1 will excite viewers, at least in the USA. If Spies get's the M1 then one of the younger guys could be givin Spies's seat to test there skills.

Kirk, I didn't say the tech squad.
I said get Spies on the factory machine with the factory team.

Spies needs to work with Burgess and THE FACTORY TEAM AND FACTORY BIKE.

THE TECH 3 BIKE AND SQUAD SUCKS COMPARED TO THE FACTORY BIKE AND FACTORY SQUAD.

Don't be a naive child thinking they are on the same level.

They are significantly different.

If Spies gets on the factory bike and factory team with Burgess setting up his bike, we'll see immediate improvements in Spies's riding and placements.

Don't be a naive child.

Diesel, really? JT can ride. He does know the bike and he's simply a sub. It's not like he's racing for points or position. He's a warm butt that won't break too many things while filling in.

Boring subject anyway. For what its worth, Jeremy Burgess is not Ben Spies' crew chief, nor is Brivio Ben's manager. So,if,at Yamaha, there is a seperation of accepted responsibilities within the team, we can presume any replacement will ultimately be in the hands of Masao Furasawa,Lyn Jarvis and the FIM.
@ disagree...hope to see at least 17 on the Silverstone grid.

"Tech 3 is giving Spies everything he needs to win. As a Spies fan, even I know that"

You need to pay closer attention then if that's your opinion. Clearly the Honda had taken the advantage. A blind retard could figure that out. Tech 3 has a serious relative power problem that needs to be addressed. Not to mention the grip looks to be suspect too.

The most probable scenario is the bike stays empty for two races then Edwards moves up to rider Vale's bike and Yamaha brings the test rider whoever it is to ride Edwards Tech3 bike. Plain and simple.

Toseland is the obvious choice for the rossi ride as he's a yam rider and has the experience, Cal's got the speed but i feel that he needs time to adjust to a motogp tech 3 bike and as soon as he gets on his feet he would get the ride taken away..
