A totally mature, well-rounded and well thought out response to the questions. By his ability the man is the GOAT, but he also has a formidable intellect and capacity to adapt. He is truly a once in a lifetime racer.

A kind of reflective interview...Sounds like the 10th wiil come in the 2011 with some recovery and fun at the end of this year...i'm lookin' forward to next season already. Get well and all the best to you and the team!

he should do the unselfish thing and hang it up for the season and ask yamaha to give his bike to an up and coming rider so that they can add to the sport.

What I find funny is that he fears Barbera. I know a champ doesnt want to give any gifts to other riders, but come on, its Barbera.

A charmed life Vale lives. Hello..who is this...Mark? Hey whats up dude?! I'm all morphed up rght now...I'm so wasted!"

The championship is not over till you are mathematically out of it. A lot can still happen (as witnessed by Pedrosa's domination last Sunday). People can get hurt, mechanical failures, other people taking points away from the favorites/aliens. If Vale comes back, and is healthy and strong, there is no reason he can't win all the remaining races. Giving up on this season is too early, let's see what happens with the recovery process. I just hope he can make it to Indy, even if it is just crutches.

I have a feeling that this 'could' be a turning point in vale's career. The first proper injury in a racers career can often have devestating effects, and just because its VR, doesnt change that fact. I hope i am not right, but the fact is, it might dash his confidence regardless of what he says. He's only human afterall. Get well soon vale, forget about this season, and use the rest of 2010 as a rehabilitation year, then go get that championship back off lorenzo in 2011!
