De Puniet went to a track day there? Pretty smart! Was glad to see him up front.

Also, shouldn't they get an extra hour of practice since it's a new track? I know they did that at Laguna the first year they came, and I think they did the same at Indy. Did they get rid of that rule or something?

Factory teams should start talking with Randy de Puniet, NOW!

The Frenchman has obviously reached a new level this season, finally succeeding to keep his undisputed sheer speed without crashing any more, whereas until last year he was either flamboyant but prone to crash, or lacklustre until the chequered flag.

I love that Cecchinello team, I hope they will have a great 2010 season with Randy de Puniet.

Can't follow your reasoning, openpipes, as much as I would like to. First rookie is a cinch I would think.
Tomorrow is supposed to be drizzly which will really mess up the grid order from usual.

Typical British weather today. Always changing. Sunny in the morning to crap in the afternoon to somewhat decent in the evening.

Great to watch the times drop from the beginning of the session to the end of the session.

I think Lorenzo's attitude has changed and he's out to win the championship, not just to beat Rossi.

When I said best bike, I referred to the Yamaha M1. Whether a customer M1 is better than a factory Honda is unknown. As is the level of "customer" bike Spies is on. It might be the same as Edwards', or near-Fiat level parts with Tech 3 bodywork. The people that know aren't saying.

If Simoncelli is on the third factory Honda, it doens't look superior to the Tech 3 bikes.

If a customer bike is to podium, good chance it will be Spies or Edwards. With a new track no one has real data to pull from, so it levels the field a bit. Spies is very good at learning tracks.
