I know it's only first practice, but for a rider with 1000s of laps aboard an M1, Rossi's replacement is 5 seconds adrift of the lead. I don't know beans about development, but I'm pretty sure that riding that much slower than the pace isn't generating the kind of data that Yamaha need to improve the M1. That and it's downright dangerous if his pace is 5 seconds off during the race..... :?

just in case, kenlucky is NOT me. However, as far as Obi, If he had any honor he would mimic Foster. My only political streak is that I enjoy and believe in freedom noy serfdom or slavery. Thus any socialist or whoever wants to take away my freedom - especially under the guise that it is "to protect me" deserves to be be in a crematorium or to be Green..used as compost.

Wataru Yoshikawa almost Five seconds a lap off the pace!

Yamaha made their choice, if Yoshikawa doesn't qualify I predict Yamaha will loose face.

And the field will shrink again!

I still cannot believe that this Guy is the best available rider.

Hope it is a good race, doubt it will be as good as 2009.

Stoner was right about Yoshikawa.Telling it straight does not go down well with Stoner haters. Btw I dont hear any riders saying Stoner blocks them.Maybe he plats to the rules and expects the same in reply.

If 6 was 9 - Unregistered

Well #69... I'm a fan of Nicky, but I think this *may* be the last year in GP for him.

I really hate to say it, but I don't think he's adapted his riding style enough. Seeing him back it in to the corners at Silverstone trying to fend of Spies looked pretty, but it's not the fastest way around a track.

I really hoped he would have kept improving, but Assen result and now this FP1 times don't bode well.

I really hope I'm wrong...
