His(Edwards) Castrol/Honda team pulled out and the Repsol

Colin said after he won the WSB title, Honda told him it would have nothing for him next year. There was speculation that Colin's salty language (now a thing of the past) didn't fit the Honda corporate image. I would like to see him back in WSB with the other ex GP riders though the Ducati is on it's last legs I think.

Hayden makes too much money for Ducati in the states. If they get Rossi, they will keep Hayden for the US marketing aspect.
Off to ride to Laguna today on my Duc, can't wait for FP1 tomorrow!!

"If Hayden hasnt signed for next year and HRC doesnt have Dovi in its grasps and I were Dovi I would jump over to Ducati"

MCN article today on the website were Nicky says he's close to a deal

@Nick Hodgins

Riding for Honda his whole career didn't do Nicky Hayden much good during his term.

"No doubt Dovi isn't performing how a factory rider should perform. But does anyone remember he was 4th in the overall championship on the Scot Honda... "

He's 3rd in the championship!!!!!!!!!!! How is a factory rider suppose to perform than? Like Stoner this year? And he was 5th his rookie year - not 4th.

quite agree rawdawg, honda don't seem too concerned with loyalty, i was just pointing out that Dovi's career long association with honda wouldn't give him an advantage over Pedrosa even if honda were bothered!

"Colin is quoted as saying he is fed up with being 'angry'. He says he didn't have a works bike when he was works yam rider. He gets even less with Tech3."

Well, that a good way to get yourself taken off Yamaha's Christmas card list!

Things like this only come out when someone is walking/getting pushed out the door.

This is the same situation that Nicky or whoever will be in when Val goes to Ducati. You can almost rest assured that Val isn't walking into a situation at Ducati like he has at Yamaha now with Jorge getting the same kit.

If Burgess stays on with yamaha next year and Rossi goes to ducati without him.... Spies gets the best brain in the paddock? maybe he isnt quite ready to retire or wants to show he is the man making the bike so good... whatever happens if Spies gets Burgess as his crew chief... watch the eff out, switch to 1000cc in 2012 will be a level playing field, which you do not want against Spies... world champ 2012 anyone?
