The Italian press is reporting that in exchange for a delayed announcement this season of Valentino Rossi's move to Ducati, the Italian rider would get to test the Ducati GP10 bike at the Valencia MotoGP round, despite this not being in his contract. The announcement of Rossi to Ducati is expected to take place on August 16, the day after the Brno MotoGP race.
Some of the details of the Rossi-Ducati contract that have already been rumoured include a 12 million euro contract a year for two years with Vale spearheading most of Ducati's promotional activities and efforts.

According to the Gazzetta, Yamaha didn't want a Rossi to Ducati announcement at Laguna Seca because the US is one of its key markets. Therefore the deal to let Rossi try out the GP10.

Rawdawg....I said it a long time ago....Rossi's GP11 started with the GP10 and it's bigbang engine.

So who's better ? spies or dovi ! it seems that spies will get the no.2 ride at yamaha and dovi gets the also ran ride at honda. I have the utmost respect for dovi as a true gp rider. His last year in 250's, on a another slow honda was superb. He has risen to the motogp challenge and should be treated better. Why don't honda sack Danni? He'll never win the championship, 1 or 2 races a year maybe, when everyone else are either injured or off form. No harm to hayden but The doctor and dovi on the ducati's might be the way to go.
If honda were really interested in keeping 3 riders on works bikes they should make Stoner bring his own backing but then would you back him to win on a honda ?

And I'll say it now - Rossi won't be at Ducati.......... This is a team that wouldn't even exist without sponsor money - they can't even fund themselves. So no way they can pay Rossi what he's making now. And we all know his ego is too big to take a pay cut.

Last Edited 2025 days ago will come to past as I said. The Duc is being built and tested for the GOAT for 2010. Gracie Groaner thus far have been an unwilling tester/developer for the GOAT though. Come 2011...Rossi will be on a good GP11 with the lil speed he craves as demonstrated by Gracie Groaner last week at Sachsenring.

I cannot wait to hear this great announcement from the GOAT. ROSSI FOR 2011 WORLD CHAMPION!!!!

So if we are talking conspiracy theories about Rossi going to Ducati - why do Yamaha go to the trouble to allow him to test a superbike at Brno ? Presumably there is a lot of arm twisting to keep him in Yamaha in 2011 and this was done to keep him sweet.

Have Yamaha set their heart on Lorenzo being world champ in 2010 and their no.1 in 2011? If so isn't there a risk of having Rossi back earlier he could take points off Lorenzo and let Pedrosa in as world champ or even take the crown himself ?

How's about this for a switch,Edwards to Xerox Haga to
Sterilgarda, could make that championship a cracker.

Sorry Dovi 5hit happens in this sport, always has always will.

If Rossi goes to Ducati next year JB retire's I think.

"Colin is quoted as saying he is fed up with being 'angry'. He says he didn't have a works bike when he was works yam rider. He gets even less with Tech3."

I wish that quote answered my question but i doesn't really,do I go back to calling the Techtroise the Techturd or do I follow the official line of CE having a bad year and is the Texasturd?

I belive when Colin was with Yamaha he didn't get the same upgrades as Vale. Look at Jorge, when he negotiated his contract he demanded that he gets the same stuff as Vale. Look at Jorge now, neck and neck with the Doctor! That's one of the main reasons Vale wants out, Yamaha didn't give him any respect.
