Come on guys. The only reason you keep obsessing on which is better is that you have crushes on them. I think Nucky is cuter than Ben, but Casey is totally adorable. Do you think about Ben or Nicky when you satisfy your sexual needs? I'll bet you do, because anyone who obsesses like you guys certainly could never get a real GF, or BF for that matter.

I hope Nicky is gay. It would be good for the world.

I've been a huge Hayden fan for the better part of a decade and been coming to Crash for the last couple of years. Posted by RawDawg

No chit, eh? Thanks for clarifying this, if not i would have never guessed ! hahahahhahah

Anyways good thing you have explained to the rest of crash readers the reason for your Biased Hayden posts the are almost out of touch of reality as Obama and Bernie are - or Spain's own "Mr. Bean" - keep in drowning in optimism, but the fact is "your boy" without a vastly superior bike + a chitload of luck is not even a contender. Looking forward to 2012 and see what excuses you will have when, again, when the non-straw champ fails to deliver-if only a contender.

dawg every rider was gifted a position once in their career, like kenlucky says you cannot compare a rookie to a proven winner of many championships, and who competes in every race to win, dont get me wrong i have watched ama since 2001,spies is a talented rider his career shows that, but as you already know when u reach this level u have to prove yourself againt the very best,he as done well so far this year, next year will show what he can really do if he gets the fiat ride and he will quickly find out how tough it will be even to compete for a podium.

When ever someone says "well he was gifted a position" or "so and so was hurt" it's nothing but sour grapes. Rossi has won many races when Casey was hurt or ill or crashed, ...I don't remember hearing that when Stoner crashed out of the lead in Qatar or that Val was "gifted" a podium when Pedrosa crashed at Laguna.Posted by RawDawg

There is a HUGE difference between a PROVEN winner and one that is NOT. Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner etc. are proven podium and race winners-moreover dont not habitually rely on attrition, luck or "hang in there to capitalize" on others "mistakes". One thing is to be within 100/sec putting pressure a a guy and another is a chance crash.

rawdawg i agree 99percent of your commments but why do u always bring rossi into it, is that u hate that he is probably bigger than the sport itself or what, all i am saying is u cannot compare some one who as won over 100 races and many championships at this level to someone who is a rookie and trying to establish himself at the elite level .

I find this thread rather bizarre almost perplexing.

I've been a huge Hayden fan for the better part of a decade and been coming to Crash for the last couple of years.

Where did the these steadfast Nicky supports come from? It doesn't seem like the usual suspects.

The only thing that's a constant is kenlucky doing is his normal routine.

If I was a betting man, if it wasn't Spies that was being compared I don't think many of the "supporters" would be interested or better yet would be piling on Nicky.

@Trev46

That quote WAS NOT to discredit Nicky nor to say Ben is better or Nicky or whatever.

But when someone say "well Ben only got his podium because Rossi wasn't there" ignores the fact that ever other rider on the grid that lined up had the same opportunity.

When ever someone says "well he was gifted a position" or "so and so was hurt" it's nothing but sour grapes. Rossi has won many races when Casey was hurt or ill or crashed, Lorenzo was hurt or crashed, Pedrosa was hurt or crash, etc but it's never "Rossi was gifted a win". I don't remember hearing that when Stoner crashed out of the lead in Qatar or that Val was "gifted" a podium when Pedrosa crashed at Laguna.

@ Yamaha-11 Elbowz

A MOTOGP title trumps a WSB title any day of the week, year or millennium. Period.

Sorry dude but facts are facts.

I actually believe Ben is better to be honest. Nicky is only slightly ahead of him in the standings riding a full factory Ducati, versus Ben on a satellite bike with 2 DNF's. That's my opinion. We'll see how it turns out soon enough.

If you compare their first 9 career races Nicky had no podiums and 3 finishes outside of the top 10 on the factory Honda. Ben already has one podium and all finishes in the top 8.

At 25 years old Ben won the WSBK title. At the same age Nicky won the MotoGP title. So if your point is that Ben is already pretty old for a rookie

Stoner is having by far his worst season ever with Ducati Hardly proof that the factory Ducati is an advantage over the Tech3 Yamaha. Posted by KTM Barbie

Doohan won is first WC at the tender age of 29.Biaggi is on his way to win the WSBK championship at 39.Fast Freddie won the 500 title at 22..

To say the SAT yamaha is better than factory Duc's is laughable.Stoner HAD some problems, since the Duc was built to suit Hayden(fans),but CS has worked it out & it shows.Stoner will improve even more is a given.
