I've always liked Alex. Hope he can put aside those feelings and have a good race - I think that'd be the best thing for him right now.

Can't help but think De Angelis is the Donnie Darko of MotoGP.

He has been taken down by other riders all season, lost his ride due to financial issues, was shuffled to premier class, was going to miss his home GP, then somehow found a ride last minute.

It was like the universe was telling Alex not to race that day.

All that is missing now, is the ability to time travel...
