"We made our position clear. You don't do this; especially considering the situation in the championship."

So when did he emasculate him? when they installed the new engine in his bike that gave him an advantage over his teammate that he still barely managed to beat? Or when he failed to fire his younger faster teammate who is the world champion elect.I wish they had crashed and fought to see who the better man was. If he did that to me i'd knock his teeth out before the podium ceremony and let him try to explain it away during the interview.

I don't always agree with Rossi's or others moves on the track, but that is why you have a race control- that's their job. Didn't Lorenzo start this with the practice starts a few rounds ago? And if Yamaha had any concerns why didn't they say something BEFORE the race!
Way to stir up next years competition.

I have watched the "incident" several times on iplayer. When Rossi and Lorenzo are neck and neck going into right hander Lorenzo clearly tries to squeeze Rossi off the track. It is clearly Rossi's corner.He leaves Rossi no where to go except drop back or hold his position. Hold his position is what he did. Apparantly there is no enquiry into the incident so it was fair and within the rules. Shut up whining Lorenzo/Yamaha, you should look back over the pre Rossi era this sort of racing was commonplace.

that's job reality...if the situation was upside down and it was Rossi who would challenge WDC crown in 2010 and Lorenzo was in current Rossi's positions and he would do the same towards Rossi then everybody would hang Jorge already...without any management position. The same would be for Stoner. Just don't disturb Rossi and that's sad.

What do you expect a team to say publically in this situation - make negative comments about the man they have chosen to represent them next year, who will be World Championship by then? No they have chosen to support Lorenzo because he is the man that they have based their future on.
However I would love to hear what was said behind closed doors as Lorenzo seemed just as hard at it as Rossi and for no purpose in terms of achieving his or Yamaha's objectives.

@The troll.

My point being that Lorenzo didn't need to attack Rossi. Why was it of any benefit for Lorenzo to take third considering his position in the championship.

There can be nothing worse for a team manager than seeing both of the entries off in the gravel trap and out of the race especially if one is on the cusp of a WC. So Jarvis' reaction was expected. But Rossi is not a team player and at this point doesn't give a damn about Yamaha or Lorenzo It's Lorenzo who had everything to lose and should have backed off and settled for fourth. If he chose to contest the position, it's his responsibility for what might happen.

as Robin Williams (the actor) once said: "God gave men 2 heads but enough blood to run one at a time". Those of you who think that Rossi was a foult last Sunsday should stop reading Playboy when giving your opinion.
