"What do you expect a team to say publically in this situation - make negative comments about the man they have chosen to represent them next year, who will be World Championship by then? No they have chosen to support Lorenzo because he is the man that they have based their future on.
However I would love to hear what was said behind closed doors as Lorenzo seemed just as hard at it as Rossi and for no purpose in terms of achieving his or Yamaha's objectives. "

They didn't have to say anything. Rapping Rossi on the knuckles is not a requisite to supporting Lorenzo, their new man. Even though I'm sure it would be leaked eventually, it all could have been dealt with off the record.

Yamaha wanted to make a public statement they do not approve of Rossi's racecraft. And that's their choice.

I think they will regret it though.

Yamaha forget that VR awake them from their long 10 years sleep and win the title immediately after he join.. its a fact.. VR has writen Yamaha history of winning the WC by his style of riding and determination to win, and I don't think JL can do the same... JL is fast but still need to grow up
GOOOOOOOO VALE...

What's to discuss, George obviously wanted a fight and he got one.

All those saying Rossi was riding dangerously, kindly point out where. When the contact came it was only because Rossi would not give up his line when he was ahead anyway.

This was simply a battle of wills that both men wanted. A matter of pride.

No shame on George for coming 2nd, he tried everything he could. Far more than Casey, or Dani would have.

Roll on Crutchlow and Spies, two fighters, can't wait.

yamaha should change their comment, they have always approved of Rossi's aggressive riding, just not yesterday.
Rossi was infront, Yourgay clearly ran Rossi off track and had to go completely offline himself to do it.. Should read Yamaha- Yourgay was too aggresive..

Totally agree with everything said. Lorenzo needs to man up. Championships don't get gifted to you. I'm not a Rossi fan but an ex Gibernau fan and Iloved thhose last 4 laps. BRILLIANT. Don't tell me if Lorenzo did that to Pedrosa Yamaha would still be complaining? After everything that has happened in F1 with Ferrari it makes a refresshing change to see Rossi giving the fans what they came to see......a race. No-one fell off so get over it!

To all those who are knocking Yamaha for speaking out.
Rossi didn't win races and championships by himself-
remember Yamaha provides the bikes and- pays Rossi-so they are entitled to speak out

I saw the highlights twice. Rossi was aggressive. 1 move in particular was bit too much. But the final overtake was absolutely clean(he din't touch jorge at all) n he deserved to finish 3rd..
