"Spies went off in front of me and I followed him into the gravel. We touched coming back onto the track..."

And what we saw afterwards is the difference between great and above average riders i.e. Spies got straight back on the track and back into getting towards the front of the field to get to eighth. While Hayden in his usual lack lustre manner bimbled along the grass until he reached the corner and had to turn onto the track then only managed to get to twelfth. Haydens management need to sit him down to watch the Rossi and Lorenzo overtakes at the end until he realises that racing is about having some spirit

Seems to me that Hayden's performance at Motegi is further evidence that the Ducati is hard work and the required setup varies so much from circuit to circuit that a good outcome isn't always findable.
After a very "spirited" performance at Aragon he was never on the pace at Motegi and consequently his confisence would have been klow even before he ran off.
His great pass on Lorenzo at the last race might have been a good model for Lorenzo to use on Rossi though -so late so there was no chance of a comeback

watching Ben coming through the field was a pleasure to watch and Hayden gets whooped again by the Tech 3. At least #11 recovered while #69 the second tier rider way down in 12th and getting beat again.

Where is all the invective and vile language? Rossi touches George Lawrence and all hell lets loose: Haden and Spies touch and we get nothing. C'mon Crashinistas, start swearing, or something.
Personally I am not a fan of either of these gents, but at least they got on with it and didn't moan afterwards as JL and Co did.

Spies will finish ahead of Hayden in the championship Ducati will enjoy every minute of it like they did last season when Edwards trounced #69 in the standings.

Another great charge from Ben.Hell,it would have been something to see had he and Hayden not had an off circuit incident.
Script to the effect of Fiat Yamaha duo bashing fairings, parachute leg vs hard elbow on last lap.
