MotoGP » Stoner caught out by cold tyre

"I don't think I could have been more careful over those opening laps. I'm so disappointed that such a small thing can ruin an entire weekend."

@Punch

That's a lie! How dare you! You know as well as anyone else that only Stoners tyres were cold! Everyone else's were piping hot! That's a fact.

Besides the cold tyres he also had a clutch problem, a half-moon shaped rock stuck on one of his intake butterflies, his wrist was sore and he wasn't feeling very well.

Ducati must be pleased to see the back of this guy. If they had kept him on they would be developing fold away training wheels to get him through the first few laps of every race to help him stay on next year.

He doesnt change does he. Just like Valencia last year after 2 strong races.
Hes only going to be worse on the Honda next year, replicating 06.

Hes not going to win a championship again unless he has another year with 2 large advantages as per 07, therefore meaning he doesnt have to push and doesnt crash.

I normally resist responding to the clowns on here and just read the comments for my own amusement, but I'll bite today...Stoner was on the extra hard compound on the front while the rest of the front runners, had the hard option. Therefore it makes perfect sense that his front would've taken an extra lap or two to get up to temperature given the normal Bridgestones take about four laps to get proper hot as is. Sorry to bring some dirty facts into the Stoner bashing, but you know, you can prove anything with facts can't you. They're so pointless and annoying, sorry, I meant, 'Wah, Stoner is a girl.'

@ TB777,
Sorry mate, but it's not like Stoner didn't know that he had to give the tyre extra time to warm up. The point is, it wasn't the tyres fault he crashed, it was his.
Funny thing is, your post shows that even you knew he should have taken extra laps before pushing. Maybe you should give Stoner some pointers. :)
