I'm not a Lorenzo or Stoner fan but ... well done Stoner for pole, I actually expected nothing less! He's really strong here at his home track, winning the last 3 years here.

Also, well done Lorenzo for acknowledging Stoner's pace around this track and well done on your position on the grid. You definitely have skill and you've learnt how to set up your bike well.

I still hope Rossi will come up through the grid to make for an interesting race but with Spies on the front row it looks like it's gonna be a cracker either way - I just want to see close competitive racing and no time trials - please!!! Good luck to all :)

Stoner always toasts his tires.....

Whats wrong with backing the bike into the corner?
Sometimes gearing setup doesn't allow for optimum revs for a corner, so you back it in, or if your good enough just slide both ends through and keep the motor in the sweet spot for the drive out of the corner.
Tyre life in qualifying isn't important.
In Australia we race plenty of Dirt Track and it shows with the number of road racing World Champions from the Land Down Under, who learned their trade backing it in.

Good darn that Casey on a Ducati.
Only challenge is Jorge as far as consistency.
Maybe Rossi is sandbagging.
Spies is scary fast, in my old age I remember him being punted 1st WSBK last yr and win 2nd round.
No wonder someone has gone to greener pastures.
Ducati have lost the only talent

I have to admit Casey is unstoppable around here if Jorge can stay in touch with with him then it will be a good race.

Stunned by Ben's performance sat out the session yeaterday don't blame him for that and then 3rd in second practice followed by the same position in qualifying hope he parks his bike on the podium.

Stoner toasts tires...
I thought that was an adaptation that he acquired while learning to tame the desmo beast. I seems over the years that is the only way to ride the ducati fast. He certainly didn't learn that in 250 did he?

Now that's just some bull**** right there. Why wouldn't Lorenzo want to accept Ben's apologies? Lorenzo was just so overcome with the victory in the Championship that he didn't even see him. If Ben's is not as stupid as some of his fans, he'll understand that and won't take it the wrong way. Actually, he seems very much like a sensible guy, so probably if it rubbed him the wrong way he'll speak to Lorenzo before assuming it was on purpose. As for the race tomorrow, well, I think he'll have to work hard to keep the 3rd position till the checked flag. Rossi and Dovizioso will be coming from behind and Lorenzo will be far ahead.
