Rossi was hoist with his own petard!!!!!
Rossi has cited a bad setup as the lack of speed. Lorenzo used last that he won with and won, Rossi couldnt as last years set up only got him forth hes has made this point himself. Had there been no wall and sharing of data he could of used Lorenzos set up.

Hats off to Jorge for blinding speed at Estoril and for winning the championship. It's highly deserved. Hats off to Rossi for finishing 2nd and finshing way ahead of the rest of the field. It was a decent attempt at a win, I think he gave it what he could but it wasn't quite enough. And he admitted plainly that he had no answer to Lorenzo's pace. Lorenzo is clearly the better rider this year. He has been outstanding. Does that make Valention crap ? Absolutely not. All these riders are excellent hence competing in the premier class. So what's with all the haters on here ? If the haters on here are all so good then why aren't you racing in Valenica next weekend ??! Give ALL the riders the respect they deserve and enjoy the racing !

There was clearly a setup difference between the two Yamaha's. Last years race already told us JLO has the better dry race setup at this circuit.

In Valencia last year they were more equal and with Pedrosa not fully fit, I'll give Rossi a chance of winning his last race on a Yamaha. He still have to deal with Stoner though, as long as he doesn't crash in the warmup lap.

Too bad the bench racers aren't bright enough to see that when a rider says the setup isn't right he is blaming himself for not being able to communicate to the team or that he is unable to ride around it.
They still find a way to knock Rossi when he is just being honest. Too bad the moderators have let this site become a "I hate Rossi" soapbox for the arm chair commentators.

I have to laugh at the Rossi knockers on here. He is the man in Moto GP with nothing to prove, to anyone.
To become an all time great takes a lot of guts and courage, and right now I dont see that in any of the other riders. Sure I see bravery now and then, but when Rossi has gone, it could be a long time before we get another of his ilk. I hope that the move to 1,000cc works (it should do) because without Rossi, Moto GP could become very sterile.

Guys Rossi taking an almost 2 second lead and then falling behind by almost 9 clearly demonstrates that this was far more about the bikes (and setup) than it was about riders. During the season several riders have taken huge leads (Dani and Stoner) and this is due to great setup and shows that with a bike performing well all four aliens are in place to win.

It is simplistic to say that Rossi is done because of one race especially given that he came back from a 2 year hiatus (something no other rider has done) to win another WC. Equally, the getting old thing is a phurphy too. Most of the recent multiple WCs have won WCs after 32...

I am not saying his time isn't coming but I think the next 2 years will be interesting and Rossi should not be written off during this period.

It's all about language. what rossi mean about "speed" was "the set-up". He didn't get the perfect set-up so the bike can not give him the speed that he want. Yeah, correct that Rossi & Jorge ride the same bike. But not identicaly the same. The set-up & geo are different. Eventough they ride for the same team & bike, actualy they ride a different bike. Except if they both ride an equal Yamaha R1 stock bike right from the dealer, so we will see who's the best on the dog-fight.

after loosing a race rossi congratulates him and admits jlo was faster. jlo when he lost? ran away from sight not wanting to speak to any1. and his puke inspiring post victory celebrations don't help to improve his poor image. championship is good but he sucks in personality department. i hope ben spies or anyone will make jlo run and hide after race next year many many times.

Yes, for sure.

Mucho excuses from my dear fans. I'm gonna need a lot more of them next year because since the ducati folds under pressure I have to have a ton of excuses ready.

Thank you.
