A fair assessment as the 5th, 6th rankings are clearly between Ben and Dovi, and fresh in the mind are Ben's passes of Dovi at Valencia and P.I.in particular the latter where Ben was at an equipment disadvantage and managed to force and error by Dovi. But his takes out any suspense for the remaining four: It's, in ascending order, Rossi,Pedroso, Stoner, and Lorenzo.

Crikey BobButts, the world champ can't be second even though Stoner has displayed uncommon brilliance on occasion. Let's see, what happened at Valencia: oh yeah...Jorge by 4.5 seconds.

It was a joke!
In their wisdom and with their usual unbiased reasoning, Crash had a quick vote for this over the smoko table, and due to Stoner being an Aussie and the other things which are far more important than skill, tenacity and outright speed, was given a solid 12th in the survey. Good one!

Some of the racing Ben produced on the Tech 3 was epic the battle with Dovi at Aragon and then trouncing three Hondas in the season finale in his final ride with the Tech 3 team.

I'm sure that Stoner falling 5 times on his own, once from the lead, might have a bearing on his ranking.

As for Spies, bags of talent but he is now in Lorenzo's team & it will be interesting to see what effect that has.

Pretty much all the Ducati riders had a few offs cos of the front end issues, not just Stoner and now we have Rossi's sad performance to back up how crap the front end really was. How Stoner won so many races on it only god knows. Jorge deserves top spot but Casey should be second if the true abilities of the bike vs what the rider has acheived on it are considered without bias.
