@ AR

If a tin pot(in world terms)Aussie magazine like AMCN can get interviews with the movers and shakers in MotoGP then so should Crash.

Motomatters has been getting good articles of late (although they do need to check their sources before posting)without cutting and pasting from MotoGP.com

Agree with you both..hoppy and monster. On the other hand these polls raise the hackles and keep the blood boiling in anticipation of vindication next season.
Off season is tough.Motomatters is always good and Gpone always has a good feed.
Back to this poll,'one picture tells a thousand stories' and the accompanying shot to this article says it all.Excuse lists fade quickly into the trashcan of history. That applies to each competitor.
2010,George,no 1.Most wins,most podiums,most points ever,equal machinery,best usage of available resources,best setup skills by race,best racecraft,best crew.End of story.

Jlo defo his first championship is not to be sniffed at, although southerner, whilst I don't really care if you lie to yourself it will help your progress if you are more honest with yourself first, as I suspect you were watching the wrong sport all year.(best reacecraft = zero credibility,on your part) You must try harder.

Major plaudits also to Spies, Simo(should have been rookie of the year) and Bautista who when back to full fitness was nothing short of a revelation.

3rd is poor for Rossi such is the brilliance of the man even his haters agree as they think anything less than 1st is abject failure, not a criteria they use on their own favourites. However to say he was beaten at full fitness is to pull yourself off to the littlewoods catalogue, you know who you are..

Ok i suppose i may as well give an opinion on things for what it is worth.
It has been plainly obvious to me this season that Jorge has been the dominant force all year.He has shown restraint when he has needed to but he has also attacked when he has had the opportunity. The case for him having no race craft is quite frankly ludicrous. You dont win the Moto GP championship against this competition by not having race craft. As i have said before i think Jorge has started to show maturity in his riding and has easily deserved the title this year. The stats dont lie,he gave everyone a pasting and is rider of the year for me hands down.

Lets be clear here. Resting on Rossi's injured status as an excuse to promote him to the top of this list is pure blind fanboyism! Every one of these guys had injuries of one form or another throughout the season! Lorenzo came into the season injured. A laundry list of surgeries in the off season is testament to this. That being said you have to be blind not to acknowledge the feat that Lorenzo pulled off this year. All time high points total against the toughesst field perhaps ever assembled. It will get even tougher next year. With Spies on Factory equipment. Rossi will have to pull a few rabbits out of his hat to get the Ducati sorted to his liking by March. I am sure Ducati is throwing everything at this as
I type.

For me the title went to the right guy.

Ah,Billy goat Gruff,refer to the poll,Best 2010 ?
No doubt your vote went to Rossi 2008/9. So did mine.
2007,King Casey...It was the stupendous straight line performance of the Ducati...pilotless? HUH? No.1 rider Loris, where was he?
Stoner in GP has never been topped by his team mate, despite injury, illness thus far.Rossi was capped on a level playing field 'By George',he got it.
Superior at every level 2010.
After Valencia testing,Preziosi described Stoner as their 'nemesis' on track, not off track.Marlboro and Signor del Torchio ******* up big time. No SBK team, no nothing. Again,me like a Pit Dog with a nice bone to crunch. George Lorenzo....perfecto 2010.Even got your illustrious, blackmailing team mate the boot.
Oh well, bush telegraph says Michelin and Pirelli talking about 2012. Not surprising, #46 needs an advantage.

the poll is for us to decide how we rate a riders season, and on that principle i gave danny and spies 10, and lorenzo 9, think about who did what with what they had!
