MotoGP » EXCLUSIVE Lorenzo: I don't like this 'favourite' tag

As he reflects on a 'wonderful' 2010 campaign in the premier class and looks ahead to 2011, MotoGP World Champion Jorge Lorenzo tells he would far rather be seen as the 'people's favourite' than the favourite to triumph

Go with his view of Jerez 2010 as his finest hour to date.Obviously under no illusions re 2011.Doesn't see himself as favourite, nor bike as favourite.
Way to go George.Start from ground zero all over again.Keep the focus.I reckon he will tone down the 'after race antics' and focus on the more pressing issue of retaining the title. After all, the 'jump into the pond' post Jerez was the 'post race antic' to cap all previous endeavours at attention seeking by those who have gone before.Always felt his antics were more 'tongue in cheek'.Psycho warfare.Good on him next season.

He will never be the peoples champion. That is Rossi,s, and probably will be after retirement too. Lorenzo's a long way from even being the peoples champion amongst retired riders ie. Kevin Schwantz. What an ego!

Ago,Roberts,Rainey,Lawson,Doohan,Hayden,Stoner had the guts to carry the 10kg handicap with pride, now Lorenzo has stepped up.They are losers in your book ?
