Rossi reckons he's loosing a second under braking alone due to his shoulder and he is only just over a second off the front!

I think the old dog has definately got a few more tricks up his sleave. Lets just hope his shoulder improves in time for the season start!

Simmo great lap but you are not convincing me in your racecraft...way too sloppy in company and burn up tyres way to fast. The factory guys will burn him off pretty quick.
Funny thing is Simmo 24, Stoner 25, Lorenzo 24 and Pedrosa 25 are roughly the same age and these battles should rage for some years. Dovi needs to convince he has the ticker this year to win. Dani needs to show some ticker to gain consistency...falls asleep at the wheel and doesn't like a battle. Stoner knows how to win, doesn't mind a scrap but needs the consistency of 07...should get it on this bike.

From Rossi himself:

What are your thoughts from this first test?

" Ithink there is a great leveling. The first 4 are now 3 because I am not in shape. However, even those that were farther and farther last season and who have approached (Simoncelli, Dovizioso and Spies, ed), I think they are there. However, what went strongest of all, I think, was Lorenzo. He finished with third place, but did time in the evening and then if we look at the timeline, the two Yamahas are those that run more consistently, even stronger than the Honda. "

drayisretarded what are you basing your opinion on? He has only riden the bike for 4 days - with a shoulder that is painful and very weak and he is already lapping at the same pace as Nicky.

Maybe you should wait until the season has started before you right him off.

Rossi is not the GOAT and never has been. You guys always go on about his 7 wc's in Motogp, well guess what Agostini has 8 500cc wc's and 15 wc's in total. He beats Rossi in virtually every way and record.

AGOSTINI IS THE GOAT....

early days yet, and firing quick laps in testing is very different to maintaining race pace, but so far i couldnt be more hyped about this season!!

Here's hoping for some good, tight dog fights throughout the top 6 or 7 which given the processions in recent years will be hugely welcome, would like to see Rossi shake down the duc and get fighting back up front where he belongs.

fingers crossed....tension.... mounting :)

Wow Looks Like we are in for A great Year ....

Simo Lorenso Stoner speis pedrosa and dovi not much between them now

I realise it is only a test Yet if it all continues the way it is 4 Honda's 2 Yamaha's going for it

I feel For Rossi yet unless they do a lot more to the Ducati It doesn't look like it has it yet....

Hope they can Find the extra second from somewhere

what a year there is I hope this year the promise is fulfilled

Too many people are writing Rossi off. I agree that it will undoubtedly be v difficult for him this season, but don't make the mistake of assuming he is finished because he isn't. Mark my words.
