@ hot rod

Bsb bikes at higher spec than ama... If his results are even the same as
2010 in ama he would've improved. The riding talent too.(kiyo, hill, easton, brookes, shakey etc.) Even the youngsters, like lowry have proved to be strong riding. Would've loved to see him get the other pedercini ride. He wasn't bad on the kwak. Hopper looks like he's really sorted some things out, cleaned himself up. Like to see him on the bike to say for sure. Ama is just not that excitin. Been the same 3 or 4 riders max for the last 6 years. The only true, world class rider and proving to be a world beater has been bens pies. Would be nice to see another exciting competitive usa rider on the motogp grid.

Two things you can derive from this. 1) Denning is, as always completely clueless about how to run a team at this level. and 2) Pinning your hopes on Hopkins is desperation at its most stench filled!

You can put all the blame on Denning as you want. But it was the same before he joining the Team. The Suxuki team seem to be working when the rider ALWAYS hard working and loyal to them. I guess, it is the possible next home for Hayden. But they really need a Stoner's clone rider with an absolute loyalty.

If Hopkins return is not for long. Once he started complaining, the next day he will be gone...

Re sole efforts (single rider),...

It was successful on the Nustro Azurro Honda of VR...
It was good on the LCR 990 Honda,

Good on the the lower classes (250,125)

But not applicable on the Suzuki GSV-R...

The NSR500 that vale rode was a competitive and fully developed bike,
the the 990 RCV is fully developed, even satellite bikes can win during that era.

125's and 250's are at the end of their development, even 5 year old bikes can be competitive when given update kits..

Sole efforts are good when it is focused on winning or achieving good results(no development needed, just fiddling with the settings to make it go fast). However it tends to backfire badly when the bike needs developmental work. Test riders cannot ride the bikes at the limit, they are simply not fast enough.

2004, when yam needs a lot of development, they gave the satellite teams factory bikes to help with the development.

My 50p worth... I'm Glad we don't have the back stabbing, can't finish a race without traction control, kick the bike in a "John Cleese" style when I fall......

He did everything in his power to get Suzuki to make him the lead Suzuki rider by stabbing Kenny Roberts in the back in 2005.

He couldn'f finish a race on the Yzr500 without traction control. I know he was a young lad at the time. The expression that my old trainer from my competitive days (Not motorsport) used for guys like John is "can't keep his d'ck in his pants" meaning that John can't keep a cool head when the real fighting starts around him". Look at Donnington that year when a wet race meant that Hopper flew past Kenny Roberts to fight with Vale to then throw it down the road and let Kenny back through. He is a timebomb rider AND is a fast rider. He just doesn't have the control that the fellow top boys have.

Another rider on the grid that shouldn't get lapped is the only plus of his return.

Reason # 3210 to fire Denning.

Suzuki, PLEASE, please get your act together and hire a competent team manager who will drive RESULTS. Schwantz + Rea for example would be stellar.

@Westminister,

"Seriously, name a title that really matters that he owns, against competition that is noteworthy...."

Just as many as Jonathan Rea! Only Hopper has placed as high as 4th in MotoGP on a Suzuki where as Rea only 4th in SBK on a Honda...... Hmmmmm Bet you rate Rea even though you don't Hopper! lol

Guinters?! Really? lol
