MotoGP » Suppo: Hire the best riders, get the 'best' bike

"If it's true, this legend that Valentino Rossi and Jeremy Burgess can build a 'super-bike', it should have been shown before 2008"

Makes sense in a weird sort of way, a team mate that pushes on the same equipment will show up a good bike.

A team mate that wants all the updates and priority for himself will show to fans that he is a hero...and not the bike as his team mate will struggle.

Stoners year this one as Pedrosa can never be consistent, he will have a go for a few rounds and drop off. Spies pushing Lorenzo, should really see a Stoner vs Lorenzo year.

Ducati to me is in a down year.

I've always thought Suppo was stupid, well this shows it. He was at Ducati for a decade and couldn't really produce crap. Now if Burgess/Vale makes a winning machine what is he going to say then????????????? The Honda/Yamaha proves that the latter two know what they're doing when it comes to developing a winning machine. Let's see what he can do at Honda.

Here we go again!..Suppo has some interesting points but Burgess/Rossi, with so much experience each on his own field, couldn't be so stupid and make the mistake of going to Duc. Except Rossi couldn't withstand Lorenzo and was willing to risk it, but, then again, he would have been very down inside, which I don't think it's his sort of way of dealing with things...Suppo must be right on some of the pshych-side though.

Lorenzo got podiums every race bar 2 4ths, I think Suppo has made an error in saying Lorenzo backed off because of the bike. He was in fact protecting his lead and engines. Just being smart.

The point about JB and VR building a superbike is correct as they don't build or design bikes. Only their fans think they do. They help develop what their given and provide some feedback from the track.

Point taken in its good to have a strong team mate on equal equipment to push you. Only Rossi seems to suffer with this and will do what he can to prevent this. Good to see Lorenzo and Spies showing no fear in this regard.

More sour grapes from one of the paddocks sourest people. If his riders not winning its everyone elses fault, if they are then its because he is a genius! Go have another fag eh Livio.

Basically he's saying that no one really thought that Rossi's bikes were better than anyone else's. It was Rossi pumping himself up as the best rider. All it really needed to show that to be false, was another good rider on the same equipment, something that Rossi prevented until Yamaha made their wise choice.

Suppo and Stoner and HRC =SuperTeam
Go Champions in 2011
Awesome racing coming up but Rossi will not be able to stay with the front runners unfortunately.
New era in MotoGP.

Jazz you are confused. You say that Lorenzo proved that it was the bike and not Rossi? So Lorenzo is not particularly good?C'mon...

Big words indeed from Suppo.

Interesting comment, and by his own admission:
"The Yamaha was the 'best bike' only when there was another outstanding rider able to beat Valentino."

Little wonder he left Ducati...no one was able to get a decent result on a regular basis other than Casey, so it must have been a little frustrating for the man!

We shall see if the Rossi/Burgess combo will turn that around...if it does, this man will have to eat his own words!
