Spot on Nebar. Ducati changed to a cf frame in direct response to Caseys request for a stiffer chassis. It has been quoted many times by Ducati management.

Nice to see nothing changes on here. Caseys fans already trying to makeout the first day of testing is actually the first race of the year.

Top 3 will include a yamaha and ducati by the end of the test. watch and learn.

Also Nobs Ducati needed to get a weight advantage somewhere because of their engine configuration, which is effectively a L and not a V configuration. Size of this engine causes placement and centre of gravity problems. Other teams had stolen a march in their switch to high grade aluminium frames Ducati thought they had found the cure.....guess what!!

hillbilly, I appreciate your efforts to educate me but pointing me to Motomatters doesn't really help.

I too read Nicky's comment on the swingarm, didn't really fit in with the previous demands for stiffness.

If I am wrong then I hope I can be put right. Casey would put in 3 laps and get a really fast time, then in the race he would often crash out in the first 5 laps. Difficult for Ducati to develop anything from that scenario.

btw, why are you jumping on me because i'm wrong?

Nobs, type in ducati carbon fibre chassis on google....read....learn.

In 4 years Casey brought Ducati...a shoestring outfit..their first ever World Championship and did not crash or not finish in any race in 2007. A second in 2008 could hardly be looked on as a bad year and then the cf rears its ugly head. For someone to win the most races in those same 4 years hardly puts your crash rubbish in perspective now does it???
He has the 2nd LEAST dnf's in the 800 era...correct...and why do most not finish...oh. thats right...they crash. Check wiki and add up Drongo...by the way I thought I was being nice too...thanks
