One thing I don't get is the endless speculation about who's the best rider, Pedrosa, Stoner, Lorenzo, Rossi (and possibly Spies and Simo) are all absolutely fantastic riders and can all blitz a lap, set up a bike and manage a race and can all win given the right bike, team, mechanic, track, motivation and luck. It doesn't matter who is 'best', what matters is that they're all on form and up front so that we get some exciting racing.

That's a pretty impressive day's work for Aoyama, given Simoncelli's recent form.

Yamaha's early exit from the last year's Valencia is looking more like it was premature (of course, fair enough if they didn't have anything else to test). I reckon they're pretty focussed now, with all those Hondas up top.

@ Sweeble

Probably one of the most honest, non-bulls*** comments yet.
So lets see how THE RACING pans out.

But it is nice to see so many people so passionate about bikes at the moment. F1 is old hat, too many gadgets etc. At the end of the day, bike racers still have the more "raw" racing experience.

Screw F1, bikes are the way to go.

It looks like someone just shook up the snowglobe this morning and now everything has settled in to its correct place. Kinda felt Rossi was swinging for the fences with that lap he did early on. Wanted to be wrong, but alas the truth is revealed! Ducati are in big trouble. They need to lease a customer Yamaha like tech 3 and paint it red.

Sure thing Sweeble wink, wink.Anyway regarding Stoner's setup ability I recall his Dad saying that from when Casey was 4 years old that he(his Dad)would change different things on the bike and Casey started right there in telling him what it would do differently. This continued and developed all the way through those young years of racing.Hope he can get that Honda more setup to his liking eh.
