It is better not to race this season than to suffer the ignominy of finishing 8th to 12th. With his affable personality he could easily be accepted as an apprentice in the ducati garage. His incredible talent of bike development can be put to good use that way.

Old Furusawa knows Stoner's talent alright, no wonder he was the only other rider he mentioned.

The ability to hop on the bike this morning, while the others were shaking the cobwebs out of their cornflakes, and post 2 absolute screamer laps beggars belief and he still looks extremely comfortable and could smack a time out at will.

An engineers and developers dream rider.

Loved Rossi when he was coming through the lower classes and was happy that when Doohan retired, Rossi got his seat and crew. Rossi was a great rider but you can't deny he has been fortunate with the rides he has had. While you need to be extraordinary to ride a GP bike he came in at a low point for talent on the best bike and the WC's followed. He is now on a bike which seems to be struggling and he doesn't seem to be fairing so well. I think he will perform better as they develop the bike as JB seems to know what he is doing (13 WC's?).
Rossi is a champion but you one eyed Rossi 'fanboys' are doing him no favours. Stoner and a couple of others seem to have his number at this point in his career.
Bring on 2011.
