Astounding performance from Casey this week.Anyone who still has doubts about his ability are living on another planet.
He is really going to be a force to contend with this year and make no mistake!
Jorge is going to have a serious job on his hands to retain his title if Casey puts in performances like this when the races start. This could be a cracker of a season!

@Rawdawg, point taken, but also note what Biaggi has since done with Aprilia. I agree number 46 is in uncharted waters, but I just can't shake the feeling that things aren't all what they seem. Going to be a good year in MotoGP for some, and not so good for others. Testing times are not the same as race times, that is why they run the race. On a side note, a kid out of nowhere, in a car that had not won in 21 YEARS, won the Daytona 500 last week, again, that is why they run the race.

STONER IS SUPER FAST, PEDROSA AND LORENZO ALSO. MAYBE ALL OF THEM ARE FASTER THAN ROSSI NOW DAYS. THEY LOOK MORE AGRESSIVE AND THEY ARE EXTREMELY TALENTED. BUT ROSSI HAS SOMETHING THEY DONT HAVE. THE ABILITY TO DO THE UNEXPECTED, TO WIN DOGFIGHTS, TO SEE THE ACTION IN SOMEKIND OF SLOW MOTION EVEN WHEN HE IS DRIVING ABOVE THE LIMIT. MAYBE HIS ERA ENDS SOON. PROBABLY HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE FAST YOUNG TALENTS. BUT I WILL REALLY ENJOY IT IF HE MANAGES TO FIND STRENGTH AND COURAGE TO BE IN FRONT AGAIN.

Spies aint too worried yet, quote
The 2009 World Superbike champion said: "Our bike is quite quick on the hard tyres and if we lined up to race we'd have to use that. Looking at that aspect, it is very positive with the bike. The soft tyre didn't help us here quite as much as it did the Hondas. That is not a bad thing. When you leave the test on paper it doesn't look super great but if you look at what would happen in race set-up, we're actually a lot closer to the front than it looks. If we went out on our race setting right now to race we'd have a really good shot in battling for the front. We're not too far off and while the Hondas are obviously working pretty well at this test, we've only been to one circuit. I'm not too worried at this moment."

Spies can say what he likes, but look at the lap times of Lorenzo's simulation runs compared to Stoners - consistently 0.5 sec slower. At this level that is noght and day. I know that is for Lorenzo not Spies, but I gather their times were similar.

The deeper you look into the figures the more intimidating Stoner is looking. As for those who say Stoner will crash out, you might like to check up how Stoners DNF count matches the other contenders. Its equal or lower. Don't get suckered by ill-informed gossip.
