sorry to say yamaha r1 but making up the numbers is exactly what Crutchlow will be doing. I dont think he will be anywhere near as good as the Brits before him!

Good analysis and an honest appraisal it seems to me. He certainly has a tough challenge ahead.

However, 0.5s away from Rossi and Hayden on his first visit to Sepang and only his 4th time on the bike - while recovering from food poisoning - is encouraging. The lap time he put in would have been the fastest in last year's race, so he's by no means slow. He reckons he's still only 50% comfortable with the bike so there's plenty to come. He'll get there.

Hey Crash, MCN already used that pic of Cal in their article - the one they wrote and posted 5 days ago.

Anyway, I say give him a chance. Simoncelli and Aoyama didn't set the paddock on fire the first half of their rookie year.

this guy is so far out of his depth.....disagree all you like but its a very safe bet he will just be making up the numbers.
There are better British riders out there to fly the flag....

I've got a friendly wager with my old buddy Darkwaknight! Cal has to place top 8 in the series this year and get *two* podiums and a pole. On the flip side Spies has to win two races outright and finish the season top 5. Game on DWN!
