@LCtanner,Rossi will not get close enough to rub fairings with the Repsol boys.He will be too busy choking on Honda exhaust fumes!
@Lovers,i too agree with Hoppy and Southerner.Does that mean we are all "friends"!

Ahhhh, life's beautiful. Ain't it?

To think that the naysayers were predicting doom if Roosi left. We're in for the beginning of possibly the best era of motogp. No rider with special advantages, backdoor politics or beating on poor has beens. This is gonna be a 6 rider dog fight and Rossi ain't in it. Funny how life works.

....Stoners great at putting down fast lap times on soft rubber in testing i agree.
Hes very quick and looking to be the favourite in many peoples minds.
I just think when it comes to the racing it could be an altogether different matter.
I think stoner will push very hard to get away from the pack which is what he likes to do. Same with pedrosa.
I also think that when rossi gets the ducati dialled in to a point where he can start to push then thats when the real racing will start.
Might not be till the middle of the season mind, but i think it will happen.
Whatever happens its going to be one of the best seasons for a long time.

Wayne Gardner interview with Stoner 2010:

"I had a long chat with Casey down at Phillip Island and he told me that while everyone thinks the factory undertakes constant modifications throughout the year, nothing could be further from the truth.

"He said that over the past two years they've never had any serious development once the season's started. Basically what they start with is what they finish with - just unbelievable.

"He added that Ducati simply didn't have the budget or manpower to respond to problems that arose during the season."

Gardner believes Ducati's lack of funding is why the company has recently pulled the plug on their World Superbike programme, especially now Rossi has been signed in a multi-million euro deal.

Gardner concludes: "They'll (Ducati) need all the funds and resources they can get their hands on, as Vale will definitely be demanding upgrades throughout the season."

Good on you Casey for getting out of the Ducati team, people have no idea what the riders there have to put up with in regards to development. Finally after 4 years you will be able to sample all the upgrades that the other superstars get throughout a season and to me it shows just what poor value Pedrosa and Dovi have been to Honda. At least Rossi has added championships, Honda have nothing to show in the trophy cupboard since Hayden in 06.

I have looked really hard to find the moaning of Stoner. He has only ever given his opinion of why he didn't do as well in a particular race or why he crashed. Nearly all his crashes last year were due to losing the front end for no particular reason. What did they do the resolve it? They had to go backwards, to previous suspension layouts, as there was never any development going forwards. When Valentino is asked why he didn't do so well he will also explain the problems with lack of grip, acceleration or top speed. Why is that no moaning? When Casey could hardly stand at the end of a race and looked like death warmed up he was a whinger. While Rossie is a hero with his shoulder problem. Casey has crashed when trying to push inferior bikes to their limits to keep up. Now he is on an equal bike he can relax and let his talent show.
