HRC is going to have pressure in abundance this season, with four factory bikes & all four trying to prove they are No. 1. Dovi is "under pressure" because he knows he is the first to be go if he is not performing. Simoncelli is "under pressure," because if he does not perform he will not get onto the factory team. The three man team is not a permanent fixture. Pedrosa is "under pressure" because he is running out of excuses for why he is not a premiere class champion when his arch-rivals Stoner and Lorenzo are. While Stoner is "under pressure" to prove the expectations everyone has of him.

HRC is "under pressure" because for the second year in a row they supposedly have the fastest bike, and with the amount of effort put into this season, only to come up short, will be maddening...

Methinks I hear the Bowie & Queen collaboration being the theme that echos HRC's endeavours this season...

@ Westminister are you also Ringo reeves???

Are You saying Stoner will be under pressure Because all you Rossi Fans want him to be Yet he is looking pretty relaxed to me

I fact he seems to be almost Glowing

Me thinks all the pressure is on Rossi's Ego to prove he can ride a bike as well as Stoner Did 23 8oo motogps wins on this bike

Stoner Proved the bike was ridable and interestingly blamed himself when it took him most of the season to get to the top step of the Podium again in 2010

He wasn't Blaming the Bike .......

And I hope I don't hear all season the bike is crap Because It is a bike capable of winning if set up right ....... we need Rossi To Show this Great Development Skill I hear so Much about to get a winning bike to win ...........

@mental1- "rossi thrives on being the underdog" ??? what? Did you just start watching this week? Rossi has thrived on being Number 1 rider, with the best kit, best tires, his entire riding career. The day he got a team mate with equal kit, he spat the dummy and got forced to ducati as a result, as he was unwilling to be put on a fair playing field. Ego, buddy, has brought many people down, and this is why he has developed so many haters in gp. it's not just this site!

Ive never seen CS smile so much! He has had a tough apprenticeship in gp's.
Taking the LCR as far up the field as he did was a dangerous job, and proved to me that he has the right stuff to be champ. 4 years at ducati was also a stressful time, everytime he threw a leg over it, he was milliseconds from bouncing down the road at high speed, if he wanted to push the bike at the front. What a tough way to make a living, and thrilling for us all to watch!

Lin Jarvis has just stated that CS has the most raw speed, and that he believes most riders feel the same. We have also heard this from many other top names in gp too. Some state that he has lacked consistency. Which is kinda fair, but when you look at what he's been riding, and the places he's put the bikes, I think it puts perspective on that statement.
Now he is on a factory Jap bike, he is smiling from ear to ear, and I have no doubt that this inconsistency "theory" will be blown outta the water.

Hey Elton CS won in 07 ages ago, you left that out and most of his other wins came when the WC was decided and it didnt matter.The only thing CS has is LUCK,he lucked out in 07 we all know why.And it looks like hes on the fastast bike again.The only differance is theres 3 4 other rider on fast bikes,lets see if your hero can add to his 1 WC,i dont think he has the @lls to mix it up.I see alot of crying and leg waving in Stoners future.

@se se
Your boy VR isn't going to add to his 7 flukish titles anymore either. What's even worse is he'll be getting trashed by Stoner endlessly this year in spite of riding the bike that Stoner used to shoot past him.

On a different note, does anyone know where is Morgue and his nemesis Buttamasangy?

Stoners set up skills and proving the Duc was rideable.

Sure it was setup so well and rideable enough to bin it every other week. Stop being bandwagon fans.

Duc was a turd that he was riding with a poor setup over its limits. Sometimes it worked, most times it didnt. No denying the boy is fast. love to see him stay on the bike for atleast 5 races straight this year. Then, and only then, does he have a chance to lift the trophy.

Oh, Im sure someone has lit a fire under dani's ass. Guy named Suppo I think.

Interesting, so far people who think Stoner is favorite:

* Rossi/Preziosi/Ducati
* Jarvis/Lorenzo/Spies
* Furusawa

People who think Rossi is one of the favorites:

* Zero
* Zero
* Pedrosa with a you can't count him out.
* Furusawa says he's confused at best.

If all these people think Stoner was inconsistent why bother mentioning him as a favorite? Was it the most wins in class? was it the fact he went right through 07 without a dnf? was it the fact that Lorenzo and Pedrosa have more dnf's in the 800's?

Whatever it was they are right!! I'm looking forward to the fight on the track and the fight in the Ducati Shed as the wheels fall off for them.

I just can't understand what those brilliant developers have done to a winning bike.
