Good luck to them both. I think Simo could create a few upsets this year.
Talking of Mr Mamola(@nebar1), in MCN this week he stated that he was still sad at not being able to do the television work at the MotoGP rounds. He's not the only one who is sad as I for one would love to see him back on Eurosport or, heaven forbid, even the BBC. What a wasted resource.

Crash keeps putting up threads without Rossi in them, what gives?

Simo might find himself fighting with the Ducs. Vittoriano Guareschi is saying that they know exactly what they need for the bike. He goes on to say that Ducati are happy.

i believe hiro is not on a factory machine.

wierd dynamics in that team. lots of energy, attention
and resources thrown at sideshow bob, but it seems that hiro is the "sideshow". what gives?

hiro is underrated. put him on the same equipment as bob. he deserves at least equal treatment and might prove the better investment. we shall see.

all about contracts, money and marketing i suppose.

Oh really?

Simo couldn't beat him on his Gresini factory bike last year with Spies on the Tech 3 bike and not knowing all the tracks. But he's gonna beat Spies this year on the Yamaha Factory bike with a bit of track knowledge? I don't see. Should be a good battle though.

Gresini also stated that they,'San Carlo Gresini Honda' are a factory Honda team this year.He also says the team is getting full HRC personnel support in the garage. So there you have it 5 factory Honda's.
It was common knowledge that Simmo had a full factory ride, but it appears that Hiro also has and it makes perfect sense.
As for Simmo's stature,he's the tallest by a whisker over Rossi, but is only 4kg heavier than #46 and about the same as Ben,so please don't make excuses re weight disadvantage over the season.
Nevertheless I expect him to cause fireworks in the early stages of any race.A liitle restraint and consistency will see him go far and Hiro, well we know what he can do given a decent season.
Oh yeah, the hint at the factory story is over at gpone.Honda ARE serious. With 5 works riders, the only question is which one will bring it home ?
I guess thats a recognition of how dangerous they consider George and Ben over seasons length.

5 Factory Hondas,, that means that the best that Rossi will finish is 6th,, He would have had a better chance on a Yamaha. You know that VR is regretting his decision. I wonder if there are statistics on how many times that an ego ended a career.
