Hopes are high in the Gresini camp after a promising run during testing in Malaysia thus far.

Didn't Elias get a factory Honda for Gresini in 2009 whereas DeAngerous got a satellite Honda in the same team? From my understanding 2011 will be the same with Sic getting a factory bike and Aoyama on a satellite Honda

Anyway, there's my 2 hopes for MotoGP in MCN Fantasy League. Aoyama is an under-rated rider for sure, I mean MCN classified him as the same price as Crutchlow, a rookie on what's looking likely to be a slower bike. I think Sic will do well, but I don't think he will beat Spies, but the fireworks between them to join the aliens will be excellent.

@motomoto, re: 5 Factory Hondas,, that means that the best that Rossi will finish is 6th

Vale will be below 6th on the grid but were he will be at the end of the race is early to say. Honda can be quick but the pace doesn't last the race.

According to reports, Honda is not about to let its only countryman in MotoGP to not have a factory bike when his teammate will be on one in the same garage. Especially when between the two of them he is the most recent champion.

It's the first time in MotoGP history I think that Honda has fielded 6 MotoGP champions on 5 factory machines...

If they don't win the riders or constructors championship this year, it will be the biggest flop(disaster) in recent history, up there with the likes of the Titanic and the Hindenburg...

I don't know if will be THAT size of a flop if they don't win the riders title - Jorge is the defending champ and he isn't exactly chopped liver. But it will be a big disappointment for the Big H.

Marco is on a steep learning curve and making a lot of progress. Sure he tended to chew up his tyres and fade last year but he is 3 years younger than Spies and the 2010 Honda was a much tougher bike to learn than the silky smooth M1. If Marco's riding keeps improving at the current rate and the Honda proves as good in racing as it did in testing then it will be no big surpise to see him regularly beating Spies this year.

I think Hiro could be a dark horse this year. He missed many races last year and his bike wasn't up to much. This year however he has been in the top 8 in most of the test sessions and has been showing potential. I would like to see him do well this year.

"So.. honda will provide factory bikes for both or only for simoncelli ?"

According to Matthew Brit, Simoncelli was then only one of the two on a factory machine during the most recent test. I don't see that changing.
