Well no doubt if he doesn't win, he will claim it's because the bike isn't as good as the others in 'some areas' and if he does, it will obviously be because he's simply a better rider than the others....

Why shouldn't riders mention the problems caused by a shoulder injury? Try dislocating your own shoulder, or break a collar bone, and then see how many press ups you can do, assuming you can do any at all without injury. The braking strains with slicks and carbon brakes, lap after lap, are enormous. It's not surprising Pedrosa hasn't done a full race distance simulation yet.

@mm only few folks in here are in motorsports rider, most only fans and that's why mouth first - brain later. They wouldn't understand it or ever feel shoulder dislocation or broken bone.

Of all the racers in the padock, Pedrosa seems to me to be one of the least people to exaggerate. Infact he exaggerates and talkes to little that people accuse him of being boring, so when he comes out and says stuff i tend to listen to his opinion. At the end of the day he is still one of the top aliens and this year more than any i think he will push to win.

Dani may be the constant underdog amongst the so called "aliens" but I feel this year may be the time he really blossoms and lives up to his true potential.

He'll be quietly racking up the results this year while the others hog the media coverage.

it is hard to disagree that yamaha/Duc went as fast as they could have been, and DP and KC pushed themselves alot more.

Honda also had issues last year lasting a distance, remember Jerez?

i think stoner has made his team mates wake up! as to that no more excuses will be given , as he shows them how good the honda bike is! i remember something in 2001 to 2003, Rossi dominated the Motogp like no other wit the Honda and all people were saying is the bike which makes him wins! we didnt realize what kind of a talent Rossi was! now here comes Stoner from Ducati, the first test he did was with the same bike Dani and Dovi used in 2010 and he outpaced them, which showed that its not the bike that makes honda not to challange, it's their rider for not trusting themselves! even Ducati didnt think Stoner would be that good with their bike!they only got him to gather data with capirex only to muscle the bike out and beat everyone! let's see the first race which honda boy will be good and if it's stoner! then Pedrosa or dovi will be out of repsol next year, 2012!

Dani's comments might look absurd to a lot of people but hez emphasizing that the tables can turn over in no time. Pedrosa himself was struggling in the start of 2010 even more than Rossi now, but by the end he gave JLo's worst nightmare.
