Bad luck....AB.......

Gota be Schwantz, he is there already, suzuki devotee and I'd love to see him crawling around a GP bike again.....Go On Suziki get number 34 out the fan's will love it, he might even come up with some good set up advice and its not like it matters where he finishes.....

The problem is that nowadays MotoGP has become so specialised that you can't just draught someone in and expect them to do well, Hopper was testing 2 seconds off the pace. Even another current MotoGP rider would need to get used to a (second rate) bike. I'm just being realistic when I say that when (and if) Suzuki get a replacement, they'll be fighting for last place. It's a real shame, I'm a great fan of AB.

@Sweeble

Hopper was not Testing 2 seconds off pace. He was not testing. They were told to keep it slow. Alvaro was clocking High 2:01's and Hopper clocked Low 2:00's I was there and clocked them both.
No=one can just step in and take a ride. There are protocols and very expensive insurance premiums paid by riders. Hopper was good to go but he can't get there in time.

There is / was time, surely, private charter jet and such...prices not daft, I listed them...Hopper could do this, he knows the score better than most, he's been there and done it...got the t shirt. It CAN be done.

With a look at recent history, if Hopper gets in that bike he will break his right tibia, get flattened out by at least two riders and run out of frames by Fp2

gotta feel for him. however the **** box he rides might throw him or his replacement down the road a few times yet. all the same hope he can come back soon.
