MotoGP » Official: John Hopkins to replace Bautista at Jerez

"The reason for the crash was quite simple - pushing too hard in this section without enough temperature in the new tyre - very similar to Rossi's accident in Mugello last year"

Bautista (get well soon)and Hopkins should be a good combo for next year. I agree, this is Hoppers bike and although CV was the only one to win on it, I think many will agree that when you think Rizla suzuki, you think Hopkins. At least for the guys and gals who have been following MGP for more than 2 seasons.
Hopkins will do his best in Jerez but a shakedown is not going to make him competitive just representative! Hopper and most these guys need more testing time (even Stoner would say the same) they are riding prototypes not highly tuned street bikes.

Bautista is on a suicide mission ridding the Suzuki. Trying to make a bike go fast when it shouldn't be in MotoGP is not safe. I hope Alvaro gets well soon but at least Hopper is a worthy replacement and not some test rider.

I hopper comes in as a replacement rider not to try to replaced alvaro and end up hurting himself in the process. I'm not trying to say to him not to try to do good. But we all see him already get hurt really bad by trying to hard to be at the front.
