"Without my shoulder problem, which is causing us to lose five or six tenths, we could have been on the second row today" - Valentino Rossi.

he's obviously highly aware that he's experiencing a huge fall from grace right now and has to either sugar coat the lacklustre results he's getting or use his shoulder as an excuse when it suits him to try and justify his enormous wage packet!

he's obviously talented but i think he's lost his edge and the rest have upped their game. . .people are just afraid to admit it, including him.

Oh c'mon enough of this rubbish excuse Mr Rossi, the plain facts are your shoulder was good enough last year to allow you to stand on the podium multiple times, oh sorry it was actually good enough to WIN with. No way are you going to tell us it's now worse post-op than it was pre-op. Nothing about your body language hints at a problem, you seem to be well able to wave at any camera that points in youre direction these are not the actions of a man with a troblesome painful shoulder injury.
You've been found out Rossi so take it like a man.

If his shoulder wasn't troubling him, he'd blame the bike or the setup. He has no reason to point to his shoulder, unless it's actually hurting. I believe it is actually holding him back. However, that only means that he should be further up, he still wouldn't be winning races at this point.
