I was dissappointed that Spies was not battling with the Top 4 at first. Until I found out that after he got around Rossi he was doing 158.1s easily. I read elsewhere that Lorenzo was mainly doing 158s so I think it's reasonable to assume that if spies had gotten a better start, he might have been able to catch pedrosa and take 3rd. but who knows.

Does anyone know where you can get a spreadsheet of every riders lap time for every lap of the race??

Stoner 1st race on Ducati also return from injury operation. But, Stoner win his 1st race. Also that time Ducati not a favorite bike to win a race and Bridgestone not a favorite tyre to win a race.

How it that different from now?

Because Stoner fast on it, suddenly it look stronger similar to Honda now where it's suddenly become the best bike because Stoner very fast on it.

Simoncelli impressed me the most (hey Dovisioso, nice guys finish last... one must be prepared for and expected to battle during a race... i.e. Rossi vs Lorenzo last year... that's why they are champions).

Casey...as expected impressed me....no doubt jorge was there up too...i was impressed with dani as well for the first part...but later when i realized abt his problems...i think he rode very well...but when will he ever get over his injuries..:( simonchelli, spies as well did good....finally....Valentino rossi...well..what can we say about him....u could see he was fighting...whatever he says abt his shoulder how many ever times...when he's out there he gives it all and we could see that....great race overall...and i appreciate all the guys here for respecting all the riders...enjoyyy...

Two guys impressed me, first Valentino. I was hoping he can finish on fift possition, but even he was only seventh, he still ride pretty nicely and in May 2011 he would be back for sure. And second - how bad was Elias, not only when he was still on his bike, but also he crashed, how much dezorintated and "shocked" he was. I starting doubt that he will finish whole season in MotoGP.... javascript:insertTextCursor('comment', ':?')

I am sick of hearing from people saying they were impressed with Rossi coming 7th!
There is nothing impressive with 7th from a man of his calibre. If Stoner had finished 7th on Sunday i can just imagine the Rossi fans p1ssing themselves laughing. They would be foaming at the mouth and queuing up to dish out the flack!
Rossi is a great rider and a Motogp legend no arguments there. But the other riders on the grid are a match for him now,it happens to every great sportsman eventually. You cannot win forever.
EDIT by CRASH.NET:
Worry about the riders, not the other posters. They have an opinion ABOUT THE RIDERS, that is the point of this thread.

Rossi did ride well, but I must say I enjoyed the Simoncelli effort. He was aggressive and Divizioso was not happy but it shows he is willing to take risks. As much as Lorenzo says he gave his all, which I am sure he did, I did not appreciate his behavior after the race, he could have shown more class by just being humble and letting others praise him for a great ride, but he acted like he won the world championship??

one word... ROSSI...! stoner and lorenzo doing well on what are inarguably the most sorted bikes isn't really a shocker. as a dominator of winter testing and the other the series defending champ, they're SUPPOSED to be doing well.

also, this is not the first race stoner has "handled well" nor is it his best. he's managed the gap from 1st to 2nd and used the info on his pit boards even better at aragon and phillip island last year.
