"Did you feel short-changed by the grid numbers?"

Hell yes. 4 riders out & suddenly we have 13 bikes. Ridiculous!!! The proper number for a GP should be in the 22-26 range, so if a couple fall out we still have ~20 bikes still racing on the track!

My primary reason for not attending the 2 nearby GP's this season = the price of the tickets doesn't equate to 13/14 bikes on the track. Dorna fix this. Pay Kawasaki or Suzuki or even Honda to field a couple more bikes.

I would have to say Jorge impressed me most. Considering the Honda army which surrounded him for most of the first few laps, he just hung on and fought to the very end. No one was going to beat Casey this weekend.. that was for sure.

1. Rossi's balls-out start
2. Rossi's impressive front-end 'save' (Stoner woulda lost it here)
3. Rossi's development of M1 which makes it a bike on which an 'average' rider such as George can compete with Hondas
4. Honda - pretty much anyone on a Honda is in with a winning chance this season (with the exception of Elias)

Nothing to pick between Casey and George.Casey for doing the job for HRC first time out.(Not been done for them first time out since 2003 with Rossi). Also for being the first to win 800 for two different marquez.Record 24th win in 800GP.
George for putting up another unbelievable 'back to the wall' scrap with the factory Honda's for which 2nd was as good as a dramatic win. Also for having the guts to carry the #1 plate this season. No doubt, last night he proved why he is #1.
Kudos to Stefan,Karel and Cal.
Ben,for eventually finding a way around the mobile barn and vanishing into the distance.
Livio Suppo for getting Casey a decent deal.
Valentino for displaying his shoulder is just fine upon his entry into the Ducati box and for being first Ducati home.:)
All the teams and riders and organisers for the thrill. Jerez will rock !!!

RIDER OF THE RACE: Jorge Lorenzo for riding the wheels off his Yamaha and keeping three faster factory Honda's behind him, also all his overtaking was in the corners not on the straight where Honda is faster.

Very Impressive, the boy is the real deal.

hector barbera impressed early on but it was the repsol bikes which impressed me. the speed and set up of these is leagues above anything else / dont be surprised if team wins every race this year 1997 the doohan era last time was done . 800 r d now limited as teams wont pour cash into a doomed class as 800 era is / they will save cash for 2012 1000s
