I think I agree with Burgess about Honda, the gearbox is no great leap in lap time, mainly more comfortable for the rider through bends.

I also agree with him that the pick up that Honda is having is purely down to Stoner.

Where would Honda be through testing and this race without him, as Burgess said the bikes a good package but not the great jump from last year that people try to make out. Honda would not have won and everyones bets would be on Lorenzo.

So for me it is obviously Stoner.

I would say Jeorge and he has been at his best for sure...but for me it's not so easy as others think about, best lap, pole....everybody expect this from Him and it definetly happened...

took the fight to Stoner, overtook him, sure Casey was with him, but no one expected Dani to be in front until his shoulder problem,he had a very nasty injury due to the throttle sticking open on him in Japan last year, not his mistake has caused him a big problem.
I believe if Dani is fully fit it will depend on the circuit who is quicker.
There are just two Aliens this year, both on Hondas.

I am impressed by

Honda's power and general progress
Yamaha's stability
Ducati's under-steering
Lorenzo's swank
Simoncelli's fighting spirit
Spies' smartness and fighting spirit
Rossi's driving capability

Lorenzo and casey, obviously.

By the way, anybody who thinks this season is going to be a walk in the park for Stoner must be crazy. Don't think Casey will get away with it easily in the next race. Let's see.

The top three all impressed but for different reasons. . .

1) Casey, though many predicted his win, he bided his time behind Pedrosa and displayed restrain, never looking like he was risking a DNF.

2) Jorge, an amazing performance all round on a visibly slower machine. Has hopefully put the fools and doubters in their place. true class from a truly deserving WC! Cant believe some people wrote him off!!!!! wtf!!!!

3) Dani, blistering pace and showed grit mixing it with Casey, also probably in a sh!t load of pain to hold on to third! Hope he can find a solution to his injury woes!

Danny Kent, only 13th but scored points and was the only Brit to do so in the 125cc class. Also it was his first time at the circuit as well as racing under the lights.

Bradders performed way above expectations as well and well done to Casey, he followed through on his testing performances on the Honda.

Strange reading through this how many people, possibly sometimes without even realising it, have just come to accept that Stoner is the quickest guy out there and is now the standard that everyone else is judged by.

In reality, this race should have been a cruise for Jorge as he's the top runner with the most continuity through from last year and the rest (including Casey) should be playing catch up. Yet there are many posts congratulating him on even keeping Stoner within reach.

Seems that Moto GP has a new number one.
