Top six would be good, podium would be brilliant. But he's not going to be ahead of either of the factory Yamahas or the Repsol Hondas if they finish - that's just the laws of physics. I'm looking forward to when the Ducati has been developed/adjusted enough for Valentino to express himself, then the season will really start.

I like his sense of urgency to get back at the front no matter how unreal it may be. I mean forget the speculation on "does it really hurt?" and excuses, I'm just seeing this as a champion trying not to fade from the picture just yet.

Racing in daylight with crowds? How novel. Ah, Jerez. The proper start to the season. Should be a cracking race, although Stoner's to lose at the moment. Hopefully Vale, Simoncelli and Spies can take the fight to the other aliens a bit more this time out. Not that it would cheer me up to see Lorenzo's smarmy little face knocked off the podium in the slightest.

I just want to see a position where Rossi is fully fit (as I think the shoulder is an issue). Then I can see if he can handle the bike and also see if he can turn it around performance and handling wise. Then we will all know if he is foxing. I think the round after the cancelled Motegi will be a good starting point.

Looks like Valentino is starting to realise he's gonna have to ease the fans into the inevitable! The quote from him stating "You can't fix this with the setting - we need to work in a bigger area." says it all! Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Burgess is off on another tangent! He's now blaming the 'engine response' for the chronic understeer.
Honestly, this is becoming embarrassing for Valentino and it's time he let Burgess go!

Are rossi fans the eternal optimists? You got to think so when you keep reading how they think he's foxing and 'next time' will be when he finally shows his hand!
I was about to say that soon they'll be counting on 2012 for the results to come, but then I remembered that I've already seen it posted numerous times!
