Actually, seeing as Hayden finished 4th here last year the team can use his settings from that race, which means they wont start from scratch.
The only problem is if they can still only run that time and not improve on it at all when the others have clearly stepped it up.
Minimum of 7th for Rossi, he cant afford more riders ahead of him than the last race. He needs to beat the 3 riders ahead of him first before trying for the podium.

Forget Rossis injury for a moment.
Fact
1. Honda finished the first race 14 seconds quicker then last years race winning time.
2. Honda and Yamaha have both moved forward in development.
3. Ducati, at this point has not matched Honda or Yamahas improvements.
4. Stoner healthy, Danni and Valentino not.
5. Takes a balance of bike performance and rider skill to have winning combination.

Mmmm,
still wait for Estoril to really see.
For now, agree @Sweeble, 6th or 5th for the Doc en the Duc is already great. Eventhough Rossi himself seems more confident about, I'm not counting it. Coz he always keeps that behave even in the worst condition. So, its not valid sign!!
Anyway, cant wait for Jerez. Hope Pedrosa already got better to really give bloody fight for Lor en Ston. That would be epic !!

Just dont understand these people/critics who come out sayin rossi's makin excuses...When has Rossi been anything other than honest and frank about others and himself? Thats what is impressive about the man - when he's beat, he says if it fair and square. Thats why he's such a great champion. I for one am already missing his winning celebrations...Hmm, wonder what it'll be WHEN he gets back on top?...:)
