'dead formula'like 800 GP. Switch off your telly Bosozoku and wait for a real 'dead formula'. 1000 cc, governed by electronics and none particularly interested.
Old GPC news. Everytime they change the rules and it starts working, they connive to 'stuff it up'.
I can almost hear it.2 years from now.'Bring back the 2 strokes,the 990's,the 800's.'
Those were the days. Rossi could have, would have and should have.
Welcome to GP2011 and enjoy it.
Do you for one moment believe that HRC and Yamaha are waiting for Ducati to get out of the boutique and catch up??. Judging by Qatar and pre-season testing,I guess not.
Sure, they have a national disaster to deal with right now,but doubt their resilience at your peril.
No boutique mentallity required. No Rossi required either.

Of course you are right in what you say.
And let's face it the development of the Ducati has gone steadily backwards since the heady days of 2007. So with that in mind, why would Ducati want as you say, to spend big bucks.
Yes they will look to improve and I think they will. But as they haven't been within a shout of the championship for the last three years it's nothing new to them.

Nicky Hayden was forced to use the new Ducati flex chassis, that Rossi refused to even test, after Nicky did not like it when he tried it in testing . Ducati have no clue how to fix the bike, and Nicky is being forced to test bad parts that do not work,as Ducati try to get lucky and fix the bike some how .

amafan do you have a link saying Hayden is using the flex package? I like to think I keep up do date but never saw that. Nicky has bitched about the front just as much as Rossi so I dont think he would be complaining too much about using new parts first.

"Too much rear traction and it has been a dog ever since. I would like to see Rossi do a race on the screamer."

With the introduction of the big bang engine to Ducati the other ducati riders have been closer to Casey, there is no way Rossi will ever jump on the screamer. I think he did a few laps with it last year and said NO.

All the Ducati needs is a rider with talent

It is a good thing that Nicky Hayden volunteered to finish behind Rossi. I read somewhere's that he did this so that he could point out Rossi's mistakes and weaknesses on the Ducati. Otherwise Nicky probably would have finished somewhere between 2nd and 4th. Next race watch for my brother Nicky to destroy Rossi, he only volunteered to finish behind him for the first race. Hayden...2011 World Champ!!!

Quite frankly this is all I ask of a rider no matter what position or status they hold. Those who follow the sport know that every bike, team and individual rider has issues they have to contend with.

The results speak volumes as to how each rider and his team deal with these issues. It's when we see someone with great talent overcome these same issues that we revel in their greatness, we want riders to overcome, to rise to the occasion, to beat the odds it's what separates the greats from the rest.

Get on whatever bike you have the fortune or misfortune of riding and ride the F'n wheels off it and we'll cheer like madman when you succeed no matter what your name is.

@sleepy they tried that last year and only mangaged 4th against a depleted field, so now they have employed the most talented all round rider the world has seen (well at the very least in the last 15 years) but he has a ****y shoulder and the bike has taken some huge strides backwards, hence the sorry state of affairs. Any more clever suggestion?

I have got one nick a honda and put a ducrapi badge on it. Infact why not make everyone race a honda, they stand an even better chamce of winnng manfucturers title then. That would get HRC all excited.
