The bike is a proven race winner if you've got the balls and the skill of Stoner.... Even with a good shoulder Rossi may be out of his comfort zone to push as hard as it takes to make the duke win, he won't be the only one who couldn't tame that bike.

@27 if you compare Rossi's first time result to any other rider other than Stoner or Baylis, then he is well on his way to proving he can tame the beast

@sleepy... He's gonna, just wait and see, hopefully soon, next season.... Blah blah is all you guys can come up with. If he wins a race then you can talk but until then stop dreaming!

@sleepy:wake and remove your yellow tinted glasses, rosi will not win in this season unless ducati changes cf chassis, which is not going to happen.dont compare rossi to stoner as stoner is far more young and capable than rossi.rossi made a bad choice by switching to ducati and he shall go down with it.

spewcathi are you new to motogp?

"stoner is far more capable than rossi"....that contradicts every single statistic ever published..

Casey has won how many championships? and Rossi is referred to as the G.O.A.T by anyone who knows anything about motogp.

And dont make me laugh, he wont go down anywhere, other than in the history books.....

@spewcathi, you make a valid point. Stoner has a long career ahead of him. He is already well respected. Rossi, on the other, has HAD a great career. Can he maintain it or damage it. After all, we all know the Duke is the hardest bike to ride. Casey mastered it. Come on Rossi, show us what you can do!

Stoner and Rossi are two different characters. That's what makes them facinating. Stoner isn't keen on the media side, and fair play . Rossi is happy to do the media side. Both have differing riding styles, and both have won an impressive amount of races. Unfortunately Casey didn't have the clout to really encourage Ducati to do more to change the bike. But has Rossi? Recent team manager mumblings suggest they aren't going to change to much to the bike. And for they doubters, tell Spies Rossi can't ride the bike. He clearly thought he could, and Spies preseason form indicated he should have made it easier than he did.

"For the record yee unbelievers, Nicky Hayden finished last year's race @ 42'52~ he finished this years race @ 43'06~. He lost 14 seconds from last year, those 14 seconds would have seen him place in front of Valentino. Considering this year's race finished about 12 seconds a head of last year I would wager Ducati cheated Nicky out of some time. "

Sure buddy, not mentioning he almost came to a complete stop to avoid an accident, then had to work his way thru from the back of the field. Context mat.. context
