Nothing between Casey and Dani today.BUT,can Dani keep this kind of pace up for the whole race?
I am not sure he can judging the way he struggled to maintain his pace in Qatar.Not writing him off yet though.Jorge is right there too as i thought he would be.Ben a little lower down the order than i figured he would be however.See how he does in qualifying.A more encouraging run from Val though to finish 5th.He is a real Jerez specialist so you never know,the old dog may still have some sharp teeth left!
Not so good from Andrea though.He needs to dig his heels in and find some pace tomorrow or he is going to struggle to stay anywhere near his team mates.

@ some1
Maybe the reason why no one has complained about the bridgestones degrading in the heat is because the bridgestones AREN'T degrading in the heat. It's the wind that's affecting the lap times in the afternoon

@american really???: give Spies a break, would you? We don't know what's he's working on at the moment. He did make a similar step forward as Lorenzo, closing the gap with the front. This is just FP2. For anybody who was watching it was obvious that the Hondas are working better than the rest at everything in this track: corner entry, corner exit, breaking, straights... This is more proof of their superiority than Qatar was, because Jerez is a much more technical track. They already were last year. This a Yamaha track? Why, because Rossi owned it? If it ever was a Yamaha track, it seems it isn't any longer. For Lorenzo, being so close to the front at the moment, is nothing short of heroic. So what do you expect from Spies? He'll fight for 4th with Sic and Rossi, and probably beat them to it.

judging by how different this track it to Qatar and by Stoner's dislike of Jerez, I think we already know the 2011 champion -unless of course some freak happening occurs. Pedrosa for me is only "half of an alien" because from the long perspective he is erratic and inconsistent in his performance. My guess is that he is indeed "alieny" fast but gets demoralized too easily within the race, it's his psychology that needs work.

Yamaha needs to improve to give Lorenzo a chance.

@kingkenny,
i was just stated a fact. spies suck here last year, whilst the statement about jerez is yamaha's track because we all know yamaha's bike have better handling than any other bikes on the grid. not to mention the yamaha's higher-ups really confident about their winning chances here...
