@american really???: you haven't watched the bikes on the track, have you? You're only commenting from the lap times, because if you had seen the live video you wouldn't say the Yamaha had better grip than the Honda, not at the moment, not in Qatar. And what would you have Yamaha's brass say, "oh, we are hopefull Honda leaves something for us to scrap, poor us..."? Besides, the race is not won yet for Honda. They race on Sunday, you know?

@Gdhsusj, it's hardly a wind resistant. I'm noticing this since off-season tests when bunch of riders keen doing their hot-laps in morning on the next day.

Bridgestone used to be a superior tyre on a hot condition and doing a crap job in cold track. No it's flipped. What has changed?

Don't think Elias is going to be around for much longer. Another couple of bad races and he will be out.
Do wonder why he is so bad though, because he must have previous settings. Surely they MUST help compared to a rookie with nothing. How can he be so far back? Can't any of the unbelievably well informed people on here shed some light? Cos i for one can not work it out.

I have often said Rossi's shoudler may be hurting him but how much it is, none of us know. But if his shoulder is hurting him any at all, why was he screwing around doing a bunch of wheelies at the end of FP1? I have raced bikes, I have had that shoulder injury and surgery and it still flares up and bothers me just a bit at times and I can tell you I wouldn't be doing wheelies while it is bothering me.

Well, that's all right "lamy", you are not Rossi after all.
Shoulder or not, we've got ourselves a race if Rossi is within half a second of the other guys...A podium remains unlikely but there will b action at the front.

@ some1
Maybe you know something i don't, but if no riders are complaining about Bridgestones lack of grip in the heat then i'd probably guess that there isn't a problem. All i know is that at Jerez today, it was windier in the afternoon and that's why lap times were slower compared to the morning. I don't read too much into lap times during preseason.

@lemmy what are you chatting about.you have raced bikes???? if you had raced bikes you would know that doing a wheelie on high performace motorcycle takes no physical input at all,you wheelie off the power and if a wheelie is done to perfection on the balancing point(the feeling when the bike feels like weighs nothing at all) the only reason you are actually holding the bars is so the wheel is straight when it comes back down. it takes no physical strain what so ever. i dont mind a post but when you actually know nothing at all about what your talking about why bother???

I'm sure doing a wheelie on these bikes is a bump of the throttle. Also slightly rolling off will set it down nicely. Should be no stress at all.

If it is a rain race pedrosa and Rossi should last and we could have a nice battle at the front, and surely one of the top boys could go down making it interesting. If it stays dry I would say stoner has it.
