Don't write off Jorge - his lap times were plenty fast on average, just not quite as fast on a single lap as DP and Stoner. Danny - 6 of his 13 laps in 1:40's, Stoner - 8 of 11 laps in 1:40's, Jorge 10 of 15 in 1:40's Simoncelli - 2 laps in 1:40's and Rossi just one(1). The top three will get away and have a big battle till Danny loses the arm at half way. Stoner to win again, Jorge to push him all the way.

What's the deal with Pedro having surgery this season?

Is he stupid or just looking for an excuse to use because Stoner beats him?

If Pedro has surgery this season then Pedro doesn't have a title shot and his surgery/injury will be his excuse.

This Honda is the best Honda in years and this is Pedro's best chance to fight for the title, though I think Stoner and possibly Lorenzo will beat him.

Why wouldn't he wait until the season's over or until the end of the season to see if he's too far away on points to win the championship to have this surgery?

He wasn't even aware of the problem before the first race so why wouldn't he try therapy and train to strengthen his arm?

Nobody accused these guys of being smart.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in Spies so far.
I mean he did mess up the start in round 1 but he also took too long to get up to speed which was the real problem. He needs to gain more confidence with new tires and do it fast.

Come on Spies get your skillz together, you should be on Lorenzo's tail at this point in time.

I do think by race day Spies will be closer to Lorenzo.

Pedrosa apparently still has a plate in his shoulder, one of the screws for which is putting pressure on an artery restricting the blood flow and potentially damaging the artery. So the op is to remove the plate and screw - sounds eminently sensible to me.

Perhaps if those for ever also rans Edwards, Elias and Barbera chose to concentrate on riding motorcycles instead of participating the the local bull fighting they may be able to drag them selves into the top 10. Edwards has been racing in motogp for 50 years at least, Elias was forced upon the LCR by Dorna (what a great decision that is turning out to be, just ask Hopkins) and Barbera i have no idea what he is doing in motogp but i bet he is being mentored by Edwards.
