"Apart from Pedrosa and Stoner who are three or four tenths clear at the moment it looks like I can run with Rossi and Lorenzo" - Marco Simoncelli.

This guy is quick!
He is one to watch this year and will be eyeing up Dovi in his sights to take his Repsol ride off him.
He is definately going to finish the season in top 5 in my opinion.

Casey Stoner looks like he is ready for war this season! looks like the Honda machine has really sweeten his riding style and setting preference, and personally i think that the Yamaha bike hasn't improved, it has a new engine but no really improvement, i don't care what most people say about Lorenzo but he should be very careful honda means business this season and he doesnt have Rossi to improve that bike, Spies is good, but will never win a Motogp WC! am sorry so cocky but its the truth!

Yes, he could be right up there and I, for one, would love to se a series that isn't dominated by just one or two riders.

Right now, in AMA Supercross, after 12 out of 17 rounds, there are five guys who could win it (from first-to-fifth is only about 18 points and a win is worth 25) and it's great.

Imagine going into the final round with five riders still in contention for the title. I'd love to see that.

Go Marco ! Go Ben ! Go ? ? ?

BulletProof, I have to disagree with your Lorenzo comments Lorenzo has already proven he does not need Rossi to improve his bike and I dont think for one moment that Rossi would have been helping Lorenzo with his bike set up last season when he won the Championship. Even if Rossi had not been battling injuries i still believe he would not have taken the crown from Lorenzo.
Credit where credit is due Lorenzo is a great talent.

Love him or hate him, Simoncelli is one of the most exciting riders out there. He is on the up and seems very confident. Thats more like it, none of this 'id settle for 5th' malarky. Simoncelli has the right ambition and drive to be right up there, unlike some! Watch this space, i think he could be on the podium a few times this season.

@BulletProof: last year the Yamaha was already behind the Honda most of the season, and that was a bike still developed with Rossi. Rossi complained already in Qatar that the Yamaha needed more power. There are things that are beyond the control of any rider. Or has Pedrosa suddenly turned into a developing genious overnight? 4 years without a title and suddenly they have a bike that could potentially win every race this season? There's no way anybody outside the teams can judge each rider's abilities regarding development. There is too much hype about it, but very few facts. As for Simoncelli, he doesn't have the pace yet to run with Lorenzo, a hotlap doesn't make a race.
